NV - GF4 -- switching to TV-out
A schoolmate of mine has a problem with his GF4. He wants to switch it to TV-out (Y/C) through the drivers, but somehow the option isn't there. He used to have that option with his old GF2.

He uses the Detonator 44.03, but the option was missing in previous versions too.

So, how can he enable the TV-out on his card?

It now appears on the left box (looks slightly different) under detonator.

Under Start=>Settings=>Display=>Settings=>Advanced

Under advanced there is a kind of Nvidia box which comes up (on the left). It's still called Twin View though or whatever. Obviously you need a cable plugged in to have the option to do Clone/Split view.

He does have a cable plugged in, and he knows how twin-view works.
However, twin-view is automatically set on composite, and he needs to switch it to Y/C. That's the thing he could change in the options panel with his old GF2, but not with his GF4.

mine doenst work through either the composite or svideo connectors.

its a uselss piece of crap when it comes to tv out. :/

for reasons best known to themselves nVidia seem to have removed the option.
I suggest you get a little program called TVTool which is just the thing for fixing that sort of problem.
