hub and a router together

i have a router,but it only has 2 ethernet cable holes,so i decided i would use a hub in one of them and link all the rest in via that.

1. is this posibble?
2.if so,how?

take one cable to the 'uplink' port on the hub. its usually the far right socket. Theres also usually a little button to 'enable' it so to speak.

then just plug the other pcs into the hub and voila.

Some of the more expensive ones autosense so have no button.
The uplink port is nearly allways clearly marked (as U, UL, an arrow pointing upwards - you get the picture).
