went to the VIP opening of a new babycream night club in leeds last night (house mate works for diageo so we were on the guest list)

the only recognisable person in there was a hollyoak boy (the blonde one who is having a nervous breakdown)
was too embarrassed about watching the show to smile back when getting noticed by he and his friend


what counts as important in a person these days?

To be honest, on most of these celebrity programs now, I am totally clueless as to who the hell these people are. they are all variously "it" girls or married to some minor radio show host, or the third cousin removed of an also ran actor. there are so many alleged celebrities now that it seems less notorious than being a homeless harmonica player.

VIP is subjective like most other things. It's commonly associated with celebrities or those who are well off.

Personally I think being a VIP is like carrying around a 'wanker' tag with you. It's very assuming to go around saying you are more important than somebody else.
