I doubt anyone keeps an archive, but these servers go back to Oct 22 2002 according to here

good that should mean there are:
a) no records of me
b) these threads won't come back to haunt me in 20 years

No, the loss of any archives prior to that was caused by Fudge doing a mass prune on the forums in an attempt to make the forum database run smoother.

Re: Do we keep back-ups/archives of GD?
I still don't see why it wouldn't be possible to put up a backup of the database and let people download it for a limited period via bittorrent or something.

To be honest, the only really interesting period is the one that has already been deleted.

Re: Do we keep back-ups/archives of GD?
Also how do you find out what you've posted in the past?
I've used the search function but it only lets you go back 500 posts.

Re: Do we keep back-ups/archives of GD?
Am I the only one curious as to why you want these archives anyway?
Explain.

Just wondering how easy it would be to incriminate a user of these forums by what he's posted.

Re: Do we keep back-ups/archives of GD?
I think he's implying that the DPA would require consent.
Unfortunately for him, you already gave it when you signed up for the forums, so nyeer.

Re: Do we keep back-ups/archives of GD?
yeah, the forums are public domain, and you waived your rights when you joined, so trying to stop that under DPA wouldnt work
