Help me please computer whizz needed!!!
Hi there,

I have a copied version of windows xp and I am trying play chess on yahoo; obviously I cannot as I dont have this thing called virtual java machine or something. When I try to download it says I need a more recent version, and the onl;y way to get that is thorugh windows update.....and having a copied XP i cant do that......is there any ways to get around it???

Try downloading Opera (with the Java bits) and then enabling Java, and trying it there.

oh, and go to Sun's site and get the VM from there

i try to download and get a message which says: The server, while acting as a gateway or a proxy, received an invalid response from the upstream server it assessed in attempting to fulfil the request.

Does this mean I cannot get it?
