The stupidity of some people never ceases to amaze.

Last night I was on teh duty. 12 O'Clock, and all's well. Nothing will happen tonight, I thought.

I was woke up at 2.30 by security, as there had been a fire alarm activation. I am not terribly pleased by this, as I have a placement in the morning and I need to get up at 6.30 to make it there.

Me and security investigate this. It's malicious, as about 90% of activations are. We disperse, and I return to my bed to dream pleasant dreams.

I am woke up about 10 mins later by a banging on my flat door. A fat girl who I vaugely recognise and a boy who I don't say they need to speak to me. Apparently they know who set off the alarm.

What happened was this; a gang of drunkards came knocking at their door, and forced their way in, explicitly stating they lived in that flat last year. They then proceed to assault people, smash some things up (Total cost: £190.), intimidate some other people, generally make complete arses of themselves, and then leave, to set off the alarm.

Now. What's so foolish about this, you may ask.

Weeeell, we still have their entire details on file in the office, such as names addresses, etc, including photos of them. This is then subsequently used by us to identify them, and they now have the university and the police pursuing them for various reasons which could end up with them spending some time at her Maj's pleasure.



So I may have been woken for no good reason, but at least I get the immense satisfaction that only smugness can bring.

And yeah I agree. It is mainly British students. Sports students are the worst. Business types arent much better.
