What does Veneratio stand for?
Veneratio is one of the newer alliances meant for all kinds of players from the humble beginner to the veteran expert, communists and socialists alike, cats and dogs, everyone is welcome! If it your first round of planetarion, even your first ever online or tick based game, our tightly packed community is welcoming and a good laugh, and there are some excellent mentors that are happy to help. Experience does not matter in Veneratio, all the resources are available to you, we are the most technologically-advanced newer alliance playing this game. If you don't have the experience yet you'll have it soon enough with us.

We are however in need of new active members willing to work for their alliance. We can boast of a triving and rather fasinating community with many an original character. We do wish, as many other alliances have claimed before us, to be an alliance which you will enjoy being a part of. We do not wish to steal away the fun of the game by becoming too serious. Yes, we wish to finish as high as possible but we will not sacrifice the community and fellowship we have now to reach such a goal. Planetarion is nothing but a game after all, it’s supposed to be fun to play and not to be taken too seriously.

History of Veneratio
Round 10.5 saw the emergence of several new alliances including two relatively small and unremarkable alliances named LoDoom and Mystica. These two, although doing a decent job surviving among the larger more agressive alliances of Planetarion did not have the amount of members nor the reputation neccesssary to swell their memberbase to a level high enough to distinguish themself among the top alliances. For highly ambitious HCs like Shiva (Mystica), Arfy(Mystica), and Eleint (LoDoom) this was rather frustrating and that is why at the end of the round talks were done and agreements were made between the two alliances to team up for the following round creating the alliance Veneratio.

As this is Veneratio’s first round our goals have been limited to a placement among the top 10, something which we managed beautifuly, pushing past established alliances such as NoS and FanG in the process of reaching our goal.

What we have mostly focused on though is to get the structure of the alliance functioning. This I believe we have managed very well indeed. Our defence commanders have especially been proving themselves to be very competent, Veneratio defence has been excellent throughout the round and we aim to improve it even more for round 12.

Our attacks, though not as sucessful as our defence has proven itself to be adequate for this round, we will work hard on making it competitive with any of the top alliances for next round but for Round 11 we are pleased with how it turned out. We did come out of the short war with NoS with more or less no losses while I do believe we managed to inflict some damage on them (I think a better word for this short confrontation would actually be a skirmish rather than a war since it lasted so short a time and NoS never managed to hit us back. )

Veneratio has ambitions of being among the top 5 alliances next round, this may seem like an overambitious goal for many but we are confident that we will make it. Other alliances have done so before us which proves it to be no impossible feat and we have both the organization and the amount of active members needed to accomplish this goal. Since last round we have brought our organisation up to a level which during round 11 was unthinkable. In addition to that we have greatly improved tactics which should identify us from the main stream of alliances.

What do we offer?
Technology - We have a large number of IRC channels and bots, making our tasks less tedious and more efficient. We have a website, out-of-game forums, and a toolkit using tools such as fleet analysis and arbiter checks. And if there is an alliance with guides on everything you might need help with it's us!

Departments – In Veneratio our ranking system goes a lot further than just HCs and BCs. So instead we have different departments that will take care of everything. There is a rank system within each department so that of every task will be taken care of.

Defence – The members in Veneratio are ready and able to defend our alliance mates. Just try us.

Attacks - We have scheduled attacks at least once daily to make sure everybody has the opportunity to participate in team building activities and can be supported by many other individuals when they aim to expand.

Advanced tactics – We also make use of advanced tactics as extra precautions during defence and attack off. We have a variety of these which we’ll be combining for maximum results.

Events
We organise special events for our members to create more of an community than just an alliance where you go if you need defence or just to attack.

Recruitment policies
- You have to be active. This means you have to be online for at least approximately 14 hours a week.

- You have to have IRC. This is really important as almost everything is be done over IRC, organizing defence and attacks. But more to the point, chatting! If you don't know how to use IRC, but are willing to learn it's no problem. We can help you with everything.

- A paid account would increase your chances of getting into the alliance greatly as we only accept VERY active players with an unpaid account.

Please note that in addition to IRC, you must have a registered IRC nickname at www.netgamers.org (We will of course help you with this as well if necessary)

How to apply?
To apply for Veneratio you have to get on IRC on irc.netgamers.org and join #veneratio. PM an operator (someone with an '@' by their name) and ask if you can join the alliance. We’ll then have a talk to see if you fit in the alliance and if that’s the case you’ll be made a full member of Veneratio immediately.

Thanks, in round 12 though we'll be doing our best to make such a leap in ranks again. All weaknesses of our alliance from last round will be solved and it is already looking so much better than before. If anyone is still looking for an formidable alliance then Veneratio is the choice!!

I joined Veneratio last round after taking a break for a few rounds. Frankly, I've been very very impressed! Atleast 95% of def calls I have seen have been covered by alliance members, we have a great laugh, and do attacks every night. Am definately staying with this alliance for R12!!!

Our HCs are all players that returned from r3-5 and played r10/11...

We have made officers who are playing their first full round of PA, and have given them sufficient training.

So I guess, no, our command is not new to the game, but alot of our members are and we feel that we have given them great advice, and they could be successful in any other alliance with a firm structure

we love having you with us marlos, and its true, we have a real good community. All our members seem to enjoy themselves in our channels, and looking at our avg score should point out that we mean serious business. We don't have that big a number of members, but the members we have are active, as they should be.

Well, we are now begining to open up for normal recruitment again. Because of some reorganisation within the alliance we did for a time only accept a minimal amount of recruits, but the reorganisation is starting to show its effect and therefore we believe that we are once more able to take in new recruits ..
