Help me stay awake
ive been up about 30 hours (yeah it isnt that much, but i need my sleep) and am feeling sick. Ive been up all night writing an essay on ethnomethodology (fun! fun! fun!) and still have a couple of hundred words to go
however, i keep nodding off at the seat im on in the library, also, my arse hurts from sitting down. Its a hard life.... so what i want from you are ingenious ways to keep me awake, or you could just finish my essay for me.

Re: Help me stay awake
Get some fresh air. Helps a tonne. Also eat something up to the point where you're not feeling empty in your tummy anymore. Not too much else you'll feel more sleepy then now.

Re: Help me stay awake
So go to sleep then for a little while, no?
Do it the "Napoleon way": Grab something, try to hold it, and then sleep. As soon as you fall asleep you'll drop the thing and the sound or the feeling or whatever should wake you up again.
And then you've head your 1-second-sleep, and everything is ok.
Apart from you beeing even more tired than before maybe :-/

Re: Help me stay awake
well, ive finished the essay now, on the surface it doesnt look bad, im pretty happy with the work i did from 12am-6am, its jsut the stuff ive done in the last hour or so im not so pleased with. Anyway, cant be helped, i have to hand it in in just under 2 hours, and i reallly cant be bothered to sort it out.
still, 400 words over the 2000 limit, 22 references from 8 different sources, so thats ok... i think the worst ill get is a high 2:2, and ill probably do better than that.
anyway, now its printing and ill have to wait for the printer queue to subside
after that, fresh air, a fag, hand my work in, and go home to fall asleep on the sofa with orders to wake me up when neighbours is on \o/

Re: Help me stay awake
Go for a walk. That gets your blood circulation going, and wakes you up.

Re: Help me stay awake
Start the essay earlier.
Good luck for trying to fall asleep, no matter how tired you are, after all that pro plus.

Re: Help me stay awake
You should have inserted a nine inch didlo up your ass. That would likely keep you awake.
