The Jesus figure is from Dogma, maybe image search for "Dogma + Jesus" or something

He's banned for life but will be eligible for parole in eighteen months.

Presumably the only part that was Karm's fault was placing an SQL dump file in a public location, and even then the location may not have been publically accessible at the time, nor were the MD5 hashes any security issue back with vBulletin 2.x.

Re: Account on Planetarion Forums locked out
Every once in a while i pop by these forums and run a search on my name to see if i am being blamed for anything.
I'm quite intrigued what I am supposed to have done here,
It certainly wasn't deliberate, I mean had I wanted to ruin Pa or shaft people I have had root access to all the PA server until recently and could quite happily have taken stuff from the payments tables for the games, or format the boot drives on all the servers.
I'm not that sort of person, whatever people may think of me at the time I tried my best for PA, unfortunatly the relationship between the then creators and Jolt was not what it is today.

Yeah it must have taken real heroism to not do that.

Oh please, noone thought you were a villain, some kind of great anti-hero stalking the forum.
You were incompetent. The claims made in this thread relate to your incompetence, not your malice.
"<idimmu> then karms mistake wouldnt have come to light"
Noone thought that some direct choice was the cause of all the things people have held you responsible for. The fact that you seem to be assuming that it was shows that you aren't holding your abilities in any less regard than you did at the time, despite the, at the time, growing pile of evidence to the contrary.

Apparently at some point you placed an SQL dump of the forum database somewhere on the Internet, where idimmu could get his hands on it - eg. in a non-secure location or in a location which later became non-secure. This SQL dump didn't give him anything of real value, since all the passwords are obviously in the database as hashes.
However, when vBulletin upgraded to a higher version, it included an increased security measure of having the passwords hashed client-side to avoid interception of plaintext passwords as they are being sent to the server. Presumably the hash is hashed again on the server and compared to the new hash in the database. As such, idimmu suddenly was able to use the list of hashes he had from the old database dump in order to log into the accounts of people who still had the same password, as the server is now requesting a password hash - which idimmu had, as opposed as to the password itself - which idimmu didn't have.

Re: Account on Planetarion Forums locked out
ooh fun
I would hope it became insecure, as tbh i don't ever remmember doing a db dump ( i never had direct access to the forums box and had to work through keef)
