"Here is the story: This weekend my 13 year old son decided to be destructive, deceptive and disobedient. I had a bugle I was selling on Ebay and while I was out he decided to “play” with it. Sunday morning when the auction was to end, He picked up the bugle and asked me if I knew it was broken. He handed me the bugle which he had “played” with and both solder joints were broken and since it was out of alignment the slide is now stiff."

theoretically, as a minor, you don't own anything without explicit consent of your legal guardians...I would think it's safe to assume that said consent has been revoked.

That said, the parents could press charges for theft, vandalism, and probably a truckload of other stuff. That and they could turn their kid in for underage drinking. I doubt suing would be wise.

Also, adding to what Mark said, think how nice it'll be for the kid to see all the games he COULD be playing kept neatly in their boxes instead. If only he had a PS2 eh?! Quite an evil little reminder.
Alternatively (and as these guys look like experienced ebayers) they probably realise they can get more money by selling the games seperately from the console.

it doesnt make sense that in the time she had gone to pick him up from the ice skating rink, he had managed to get home drink all the beer and some wine and wreck the place up.

She said she got home at 11:30, so im guessing she was up to something else in between and wasnt too worried about her missing son.

and for cheap-buy chasers they seriously got hooked on the price of that bottle, since I wouldn't pay more then 90 dollars for it, they were robbed for 'bout 30, which is 33%
