Re: Excile
Dear roachking, exile is a part of the game, you should know that kind of thing happen, when you are not up to the standarts of the galaxy or in bad relationship with the ministers/GC who decide about your exile.
As a part of the community and as one who has been exiled several time this round because i am not playing actively, i can only support this kind of technics, this is the dynamics of the game, if you dont play active, why should your galaxy mates keep you if they think they can get a more active player?
Anyway, this is not the end of the world, inactive can be exiled, and "n00b" as you call them (call them newbie or new player) is what was every player here, the begining of the evolution of a skilled and active player, you will surprised to notice how professional the newbie are at the end of a good round when they learn a lot from the other players.
On other hand, you can always click on preferences and exile yourself to another galaxy, but you might end in a more inactive galaxy.
thanks

Re: Excile
I was thinking he was complaining about the galaxy placement after being exiled, and that he remembered it as being different, which is why I asked - because as far as I know, nothing has changed in that regard

Re: Excile
No the fact you used to end up in a reasonably good gal, i think one of the best ones ???
Now you end up in the worst one with a free space.
Im a very active player that got unluckly in a bad gal, with the way excile now works it means im fk'd whatever happens

Re: Excile
its still random. its just that long time ago, there were more user, which mean better chance to end with good players, now there is less players.

Don't there have to be available slots though? In the past, a large majority of the available slots tended to be in the low rent end of the universe; because players in good galaxies are more likely to stay put whereas deletion of inactive accounts creates lots of available slots in--where else--the inactive galaxies. I can't imagine that has changed.

Re: Excile
i think he's refering to that round where the excile feature placed you in the best gal with a space. saddly, mr roach, this is unlikely to come back as it was apparently rather abbused by alliances in order to get their members in fortress gals. therefore, you'd probably going to get more joy by asking what's going to be done about inactives, so that active players don't end up in inactive gals in the first place
