When there has been real evidence of suspicious activity, at least in the past, people have collected the data and presented it to the MH's. If nobody in Asc figured it was suspicious enough to bother doing it this time, then I doubt very much there was a whole lot to it. Tbh, looks like your average inactive noob planet to me.

Steal resistance is actually coded in to some extent (although obviously it's not actually used). Not sure if it would work to be honest.
I have to say I don't think cheating in the completely consensual I'm launching my ships at you to farm them happens much. There was one round I was almost 100% sure elviz was farming (r22) where as an etd playing with the exact same stats as the previous round he capped more ter bs (freaking awesome for an etd to cap) as the rest of the t10 from the previous round combined on a multitude of occasions. By the end it got so retarded I was pretty sure that he'd stopped farming and people had just started randomly suiciding ter bs on him because it was so funny by that stage. I think most of what looks like ship farming isn't the two way thing though. It's just randomers suiciding for various reasons (like what happened with shev and his gal).
Also can we please not have totally irrelevant bitching contests and questions over pa credentials on here (or any forum bar AD and maybe PD for that matter).

Had it not presented a (admittedly remote) opportunity of shutting Hanzi the **** up I'd of not bothered.
ps. Hanzi, unless you were aware, most of the top PA alliances had a bit of an exodus to PIA at one time. UW on the other hand relates to speedgames, and is particular to me as speedgames were where I got properly into these games. TreKronor is also a version of Dwarfs from rnd6, which was formed for PA:WC (combining members of Olmit and Nosferatu).

Totally supporting this one.
I didnt mean to turn it into some kind of competition, I just wanted Sun_tzu to stop telling everyone what to to regarding politics,tactics and planet managing. He combines arrogance, ignorance, a general lack of information, with personal attacks. I am no saint, but in order to speak like Sun_tzu is doing, one would need some serious experience in the bag.
Now can we turn this back into what the thread is about.
It is not about denying ziks the chance to steal ships, because they depend on it, and i would actively be trying to myself if i were zik.
It is indeed not a huge deal anymore thanks to run and hide.
The only real problem the way i see it, is that zik can steal xan ships and gain hilarious value from it. If this is what everyone wants, i bow to it, and i sure as hell will try to exploit it myself. But because it is so easy to abuse, and has been the source of many discussions regarding farming/cheating, i personally would like it if it disappeared.
I am fully aware of complications around this, perhaps especially when multiple fleets face eachother on the battlefield, but i have to start somewhere.
Perhaps this should be moved to discussions thread.

Wow, taking failure in comprehension to a whole new level. Although I concede the arrogance, in fact I've had a public disclaimer under my nick for years now stating "Arrogant Fck".

Your suggestion is not worth while.
You are trying to correct the motivation to cheat by changing the outlet of cheating. You are dumbing down the game without actually causing any benefit. Cheating won't go away because you fix someones ability to steal at a profit, and unless it's cheating, it's just good fcking playing, so what's the fcking problem?
Fixing cheating is about changing attitudes and changing the yield/risk ratio. In this case, both of those are already rather negative. As is evident by the low incidence of this type of cheating. And thus there's no need for drastic changes.
And now you opened a new fcking thread. Argh fcking argh. Argh. I don't want to run around correcting you fcking morons. Can't you just fcking accept my opinion as truth, atleast regarding stats/game mechanics? It's not as if you guys win more than one argument in a hundred ffs

Besides, being able to gain value is only possible if you got emp support. How often do you play as a zik, Hanzi? How many cases of clear cut value gain cheats can you present to support your "argument" all the value stealing is good for is cheating?
Getting such a steal is damn hard work, do you know? It requires planning and is good fun if it happens, but I´m pretty sure the majority of the ziks out there don´t have the resources or will to make it happen.
Also, being able to cap more value than you got left can somewhat compensate ziks when landing on xans, an aspect that´s especially important for the solo players out there. Without the chance to overcap you make Xans virtually immune against _any_ zik attacks really.

Then you misunderstood my post. What i mean is that zik ship will steal with its full capacity, but it will be a hardcoded maxcap at 1/1. This means that you can lose ships, then steal up to a 1/1 ratio of your sent/returning value. If stats allows it.
And about examples, everyone knows this has been practiced, and its impossible for me to give you news of this actually happening, you know that. Wishmaster round 34?

It demanded alot of effort man: check sandmans for idle xans, get foxman to escort, and 3-4 to force it through ally / gal defence. And THEN cross ur fingers that he wouldnt send away his fleet or have it on run and hide. It doesnt happen often hanzi.
I had more xan ships than any xan in r34. Kinda cool?

-After leaving PIA me and Titus (ex-Fury, ex-Dragons HC) started work on a PA-clone called Kombat, the first to have such planned features as integrated bcalc and links to scan database for easier sharing of scans. It was also the first to start removing some redundancies from the stats, and in general served as a vehicle for me to try and put into practice several of the policies I'd been advocating for several years. Sadly due to our very different working schedules this project was never completed, however PA later started implementing many of the same ideas that I'd popularized while part of the PIA community/worked on with Kombat.
-I created the winning submission for the PaX marketing campaign that was to be used for UK PC Gamer! Sadly, Jolt went behind PA-Teams back and never used it :P
-I've written 2 sets of stats for Planetarion together with JBG, rnd26 and 27 I think, arguably some of the most balanced in PA's history. I also on occasion offer my input when Appoco/Monroe/JBG have something they're working on.
I'll tackle Military/Politics together since there's some overlap here:
-Started out running a small speedgaming group called Outbreak together with H_Bozz over at UW. OuB was one of the more successful alliances in early UW history, before the game was shut down for the first time.
-Invited by H_Bozz into what became known as TreKronor, one of the more famous speegaming collectives/recurring galaxies. Especially well known for our work as spearhead for Dragons in ********.
-I acted as a advisor to LordN during his time as Dragons Military HC and later worked with Tuhoaja and Titus when they were in charge of Dragons.
-Me and dezaster did much of the propaganda work for Dragons in PIA, especially under LordN.
-Served a brief stint as Military HC for Dragons while Titus was supposed to handle politics and general organization, however that was a bit of an fiasco due to Titus disappearing before the round.
-Served a brief stint as military advisor to Elysium.
-Ran BG's for Dragons, Elysium and Angels (that I can think of atm).
-Currently advisor/BC for ND.
-Been part of influencing the politics behind the scenes for various rounds/alliances.
-Arranged two OLMEET's for the members of Olmit/TreKronor ^^
As a player I'm not terribly obsessed with ranks, my most active times were with TreKronor and TK worked on a principle of trying to keep everyone fairly equal in ranks, which meant consistent top50 planets and a consistent competitor for rank1 galaxy.
My more recent rounds I've played in PA I've played with Asc:
-rnd25 I was 2nd biggest player in Asc and finished 28th (spent most of round in top10, jer overtook me the very last day to finish 26th). Gal was 3rd, top Asc gal.
-rnd26 I started out in NoX, horrible mistake. After some rather ugly moves by DeNoX me and LordN jumped to Asc and I finished the round 79th. Gal was 7th.
-rnd28, Asc, rank 24, gal 2nd.
-rnd30, Asc, spent my round effectively managing daku/lilboi/toot/safe planets, lilboi ending 33rd, toot pissed away his top100 planet at the end iirc. Gal was 6th.
Something like that. I've got a string of top50 planets in PIA, best rank was top20 something iirc, but I flew that planet into smdio last day in order to prevent him from winning the round (he'd been effectively VNC'd by his galmates all round, didn't deserve the win).
So, what's your story?
