As lately quite a few planets (many of them top100 and even top10) have been closed for various reasons, such like multiing, account sharing, farming, using escorts and even for fake personal information, there are a lot of heated discussions about some of those closed people. Notably people have started to make thread on PD and AD to

a) excuse or explain the reasons of account closure
b) to flame those ppl for being cheaters etc.

I propose to have a list (maybe on the portal in a special section, a colum maybe) for every1 closed. This would serve a few useful functions.

Firstly it would naturally stop the trolling, spamming and flaming on the boards about cheaters. Secondly it would allow for us, pa players, to see how well the multihunters are doing their job. Thirdly it would be kinda like a pillory for the cheaters and hopefully would help to limit cheating, as people don't want to see their nicks in a column on a portal saying that they had 5 accounts.

In my opinion the list should have

1) nick of the player (if possible)
2) coords (doh)
3) reason of closure
4) date
5) (dunno if this is a good idea but) comments from the player, just a few sentences maybe, to explain the closure of his or her account from his or her side of view.

it'd be a very long list
but it may be worth it... so long as they are ordered properly of course...

BY have similar with their byabuse site, where you can lookup players names by nick or id and see the reason why they were banned.

Sensible idea and practical.

hmm, the nick part wont be easy..
I already kinda see that column back in the rounds...
10-20 pages with coords and killmarks nicks behind and everytime a 2 line excuse..
/me giggles

I think we should get a list of coords and planet/rulername of those deleted for cheating etc etc for each round..

i like everything just not nicks.

reason is that multihunters/crew most likley won't have any idea who it is. Also theyr alliance and other people will know who it is!

I doubt this ever will come trought reason is that pa crew don't like the idea.

Maybe they don't colse as manny cheaters that they wish they would!

No need to poste the nicks, it will just create problems.
Most allies will know the nicks anyway.

Could be fun. Hopefully it might even persuade people not to cheat for fear of alliances disowning them (Well, unless that alliance likes being seen as supporting a cheater!).

First of all cheaters is not an alliance matter and secondly a lot of alliances might well be unawere of which planets are closed.

Secondly, if you report cheaters it is good to see that they are being deleted. It motivates people to stay alert and track them and report them.

Thirdly, it show cheaters that they are not getting away with it and that they might be next. This discourages people to cheat. Especially the higher ranked players who won't like to do all that effort for getting deleted after a while.

Fourthly, is gives people who lost out because of being roideed by cheaters a little satisfaction which is very important. If you know that the guy taking your roids with using multiplanets is being closed that at least counts for something. I know cause It pisses me off big time that both cheaters that did it this round are still open.

I've seen this suggested before, and I still think it's a good idea. Involving alliance name is not though.

Nicks would be easy to get, just make everyone sign up to their planet with either their registered P nick or their common nick. Registered P nick would probably be best.

Definately something for round 10.

It would not work without nicks, actually it may create a bigger problem with the speculation on the boards about who a cirten closed planet maybe (which was one of the things this idea was to stop) Also there would be no discoragement if its just going to be listed that a number of planets have been deleated as it wouldnt matter no-one would know it was you you could just carry on.

The alliance should not be included unless a cirten alliance has a lot of players deleated otherwize you may tarnish a alliances reputation due to something which they knew nothing about.

reminds me of newspapers printing out names of those who were caught solicting prostitutes.

but overall good idea. irc nicks should be printed imo so future alliances will not accept them as easily.

In my opinion also, alliances shouldn't be messed into this. It's not like alliances are recruiting cheaters on purpose and bad apples are in all PA alliances. Although nick is very important .. i've explained it in my first post.

It would be better to include the nicks if possible

That way alliances can check if the aplicants for their alliances are renown cheaters and refuse them. So cheaters would ahve a hard time getting into an alliance. This would certainly scare them off, or they should change their identity every round....

Some alliances tend to do nothing when even large groups of members get deleted. Anyone remember r8 fang? Or was that just becouse also command members were involved
