Motivations
What are people's motivations for this round? Are we going to see galaxy inspired politics more than tag based? Have most groups of friends gravitated towards the same alliances by r36, or are some such groups completely spread out? Which gals will finish higher, fortresses vs. fenced gals? Even if tag is the more alluring goal it looks promising that this round will not devolve into blocks in the near future.
edit: AD is boring, so chime in

Re: Motivations
Interesting.
Mine is **** around as much as possible. Generally annoy people. If not in game but certainly in their mind.
So far this round we've seen alliance politics dictated by galaxy situations, possibly precipitated by private galaxies. Eventually this will escalate to full blown alliance conflicts, which is when it will get really interesting.

Seems to be about playing with (old) friends? Personally, this round would have been much better for me (interest and enjoyment) if a few of the retired DLR guys came back and we had a gal together. Have many people come out of retirement because of private gals?

I assume that's become the natural course of action if you're trying to ruin the round

Re: Motivations
Ah! I see the reasoning, but alas it's not entirely true in our case (at the moment, anyway).
I'll gladly admit I'm not entirely informed on the politics of this round, but here's what I know.
A couple of days ago Ascendancy launched on (and roided) Cardinal's galaxy. Cardi then used his alliance as his personal army and there was a little skirmish. It seems that war is already over, though. Excessum targetted Ascendancy for a bit, I'm not sure how that's developing.
Whatever the hell other alliances are up to I don't know.

Re: Motivations
I heard lots of rumours about various wars, but it seems like they never really kicked into gear or stayed at 1-2 day things instead of full wars.
JBG declared war on fence galaxies (asc went for fortress galaxies)
Cardi declared war on fortress galaxies (app went for fence galaxies)
You can already see that will collide again
