I thought it was a cartoon set in an actual forest and forrest gump would be a non-human creater (not an 'anima'l, but some kind of 2 legged creature) and it would use metaphor to create biting social satire or something. Its amazing how you can completely misjudge a film just from its title and a few quotes.
