the JAAAAAZZZZZ music
can anyone reccomend me some good jazz albums? preferably any of the classics. As im starting to get into it and would like to buy a couple.
(by 'get into it' i mean im listening to the jazz radio stations quite a lot)

For a good sampler/introduction, I'd recommend The Smithsonian Collection of Classic Jazz. I bought this 5-CD collection for my wife and it's pretty good.
Unfortunately, it's out of production; but you can still find it used on eBay etc. Alternatively, your local library might have a copy.

Dizzy Gillespie was the final word in trumpets. If you've ever seen the pictures of the black man with the really puffy cheeks playing the trumpet, that's him.
Anyway, Kura's recommendations plus Charlie Parker, Ella Fitzgerald, and some big band sounds like the Glenn Miller Orchestra.
