Re: I need a hobby
I started running, I'm also busy playing oblivion and watching movies in my spare time. I'm taking an extended break from reading and ogremasters at the moment. (This is in my spare time when I'm not doing school work or my job).
Maybe those can keep you busy too. Oh, and I also hang out with my wife, and play with my pets.

Re: I need a hobby
Noones had the need for a hobby since the first pcs rolled out in the early 80s, there isn't enough spare time when playing computer games/watching porn/wanking/discussing politics is considered. All im saying irishman is that in the movie psycho the main character took taxidermy as a hobby and ended up doing vile things to his mummy.

What? NO!
Reading is located at 40°20'30" North, 75°55'35" West (40.341692, -75.926301)GR1. This is in the southeast of Pennsylvania, roughly 58 miles (93 km) northwest of Philadelphia. The city is traditionally bounded on the west by the Schuylkill River, on the east by Mount Penn, and on the south by Neversink Mountain.

Re: I need a hobby
Tomkat's post was funny because I have serious reservations over whether he knows why he tacked on the word "pseudo" in front of intellectual.

Now it's amusing because you're assuming things you don't really know anything about.
Edit: Actually it's not amusing, it's really quite annoying that someone I would think would know me fairly well thinks of that of me. If you're trolling could you please let me know as if you're not I'm going to put you on my ignore list as I really don't think I want to waste my time on you. Thanks.

What? It was nothing. It was just the most dull book-topic I could think of (birdwatching or trainspotting was too obvious ), so I thought I'd accuse you of reading them.
Your question here would be the same as me asking "Where did you get that assumption that I think reading is a small town outside manchester anyway?! I know perfectly well what reading is! I'm offended!" etc

Oh okay fair enough. I wasn't sure if you were just taking the piss or not. My comment is rather obviously a joke (by the way we do all know I meant reading as in reading and writing and not the town in England don't we?) whereas I didn't know if yours was or not.

Yeah, I don't know, I really took it personally because I thought someone I knew fairly well was accusing me of something completely untrue

I for one do not believe that you knew where Reading was.
but all credit to you for trying the cover up (convincing jonny that you meant the 'psuedo-intellectual' comment as a joke; when in fact you actually typed it when you were drunk and just being offensive seems to have paid off)

It's true - I can't remember writing that post (in fact I'm amazed there are no typos in it - it must have taken 5 minutes to write). I have no idea why I wrote it so I can only assume it was because a pseudo-intellectual political book was the crappest/dullest subject I could think of

I also doubt it's a valid category of books. In this context "pseudo" and "intellectual" are pretty much meaningless which means you're referring to political books generally and in that case you're obviously wrong.
