Misjudging people is a sign of liberal hypocrisy. Clearly our diplomas from clown college aren't worth the incredibly long handkerchieves they're written on

Re: The Big Ol' War Thread
The biggest mistake isn't the war against Lebanon, but creating Israel in 1948(correct year?). Who in their righest mind would force-create a jewish state in the middle of the arabic world? If it were up to me, Israel would be the 52nd state of the USA, at least it would be a suitable place to place it.
It surprises me to see how little the UN cares about Israel killing their soldiers. They haven't even condemned it yet.
I'm in no way a nazi, but I bet Hitler is laughing his arse off in the grave right now.

I wonder what would have happened if the Jews had been "given" Madagascar.

Well Samoa and/or Puerto Rico will probably be 51 someday, once they get rid of all those natives ofc.

Disney wouldn't have made a film about it I'd assume.

Re: The Big Ol' War Thread
Just watched that Bush/Blair conference at the Whitehouse. It was really funny hearing Tony Blair being addressed by the American journalists as "Mr Prime Minister"* Haha!
*Though ofc as "Prime Minister" by British journalists.

Re: The Big Ol' War Thread
Don`t confuse anti-zionisim with anti-semitism. The two are very different in some peoples eyes. Historically*, problems have been caused later than 2000 years ago AD; go and ask Pharaoh about this.
*Sitation needed here.

Give them? I was under the impression that the US would welcome them if they ever made up their mind what to do.. It's just that the majority of the population currently doesn't want statehood (but they've voted on it several times, and it's been pretty near and even split every single time).
America-bashing is fun and all the rage and all, but some basis on reality is preferable

Re: The Big Ol' War Thread
Well Israel just killed around 60 civilans, 34 of the children just now. Apaprently they have said it's Hezbollah's fault and that it pretty much serves those civilans right because "there were warned to leave".
Sure, even though you bombed the infastructure so badly that they were trapped there, or they had no means of escaping...or were too afraid of being blown up by helicopter gunships when driving.
****ing Israel. And still the US and Britian let this go on. Until they call for an immediate halt the Israelis will just continue this shit.

Re: The Big Ol' War Thread
Has Blair finally got his nose out of Bush's arse?
Quote:
Tony Blair has said the "tragedy" in Qana shows the situation in the Middle East "simply cannot continue".
The prime minister said there was basis for agreement to allow a UN resolution to stop hostilities on both sides, adding "we have to get it now".
...
The BBC's political editor Nick Robinson, who is travelling with Mr Blair, said the prime minister accepted that Qana had "changed things".

What was Blair getting out of the close relationship with Bush anyways?
