Well finaly
I am in a top 5 galaxy and even i am happy
Because also as top 20 player its very very boring
Almost no targets, if at all.
And i am happy they start with full techtree and 6 roids to get a fast start. But i hope that they wont be able to change race.Because i think that everyone (or at least more then 50%) of the universe would go terran.

i will NOT be playing. timing truely S***S.
i voted yes on the vote once but that was totally other times. the uni was stuck at that moment. and now when the 'loosing' blocks get a grip at some good positions again to maybe start a little war again you go ahead and throw it all away again.
if you guys had done it in about a week after the vote closed i wouldn't have gotten a problem with it but you have had the round rolling on for another month... and now you suddenly come and go into round 9.5...

Attract fresh blood? I was under the impression that only current players will be given free accounts and that new signup will have to pay. Correct me if I'm wrong.

ALL accounts are free
The only differences between this and any previous rounds, are that:
a) Existing planets do not need to sign up, they will be automatically inserted into the universe with the option to change race.
b) The techtree is complete from the start
c) Everyone has 6 roids of each type
d) Its free

For some reason they* decided to get rid of the Announcement section of these forums and have all announcements just on the Portal. Why i dont know. Maybe they are trying to force people to use the portal but it seems rather stupid to me as i would always notice a new announcement on the forums, whereas i very rarely notice a new announcement on the portal as this shows :/.

Perfect decision. Round 9 is getting really boring (actually it was never really fun  , but anyway) and a making a new round with con/res done and more roids at start is much better than just sit and wait for round 10 to be ready.
Making it free is also good and can hopefully bring some new blood into PA (and old as well because I guess when it's free some people will come back to the community).
I hope people will think of the community's best and don't take own advantage of this opportunity and make several accounts for themselves, just because it's free. But heh, I shouldn't get my hopes up should I?

Thanks at least will add some life though I wish this had been implmented when they originally intended. Not sure how many players have already quit but its a step in the right direction.
Also the freebie accounts should inject some farms etc so should be more targets. So a overall B+ with timing could have been better.

I'll take that as a complement even though I doubt it was meant as one. We've worked very hard during the last two weeks (I think we've been "Top Roiders" every day for the last week) and pulled in a lot of asteroids, I guess your galaxy was handy capped with you and Anny being too big hit anything. Obviously I'm very dissappointed that it's ended this soon as even 3 days longer and we'd have over taken you, but life is life I won't blame you yet again I'll blame Spanner, maybe it's a blessing in disguise now I can finally leave this wank game without a second thought. 3 years too many.
Oh since we're doing back handed complements your galaxy was certainly the better "war roiders" perhaps because we actually bothered to defend. If you want to get all bitchy about it I'm happy to there's nothing I love more than being childish on Internet forums, unfortunately the case is more complicated because I like you so how about we just leave it there I'd much rather spend my final few days on these forums bitching about how crap Spanner is and how he managed to destroy his own game.
