Sumo Kamikaze
Three men, an Scot, and an English man and a sumo wrestler were going to commit suicide by jumping of the top of a building. The Scot jumped off and shouted ''God save Scotland !'' The English man jumped off and shouted ''God Save England!'' The Sumo wrestler jumped off and shouted ''God save the person who I land on!''

Why would they say those things in that circumstance, especially the Englishman who you appear to believe is a patriotic republican. The scotsman would most likely say "**** you all" or somesuch, based on experience.

It hasn't actually, but it was only about 18 months into the lifetime of the forum that it came in.

if its a bot, its pretending to be a real person so it wont be banned straight away for spamming on its first post etc.
either that or its viral marketers trying to advertise sumo wrestling

What, the people who designed it think I'm going to be fooled into letting it stay whenever it starts advertising because it posted a shitty joke a month ago?

I don't think the bot's intent is to outwit you or forum admins per se; I think the intent is to outwit the automatic defenses that forum admins have put in place on most forums (for example, the can't post links until post count > N rule). Once that's accomplished it will presumably go into spam mode and will be banned (manually) some hours or days later (depending on the forum/admin); but it will have delivered it's payload for some period of time on some number of forums. Thus, the spam bot will have successfully completed its mission. :|

The spammer's costs are amortized over all the forums he's spamming (and all the copies of the bot he's running). His investment in any particular forum, such as this one, is negligible. Once he can slip his bot past the automatic defenses then he's essentially won because his advert will get out (for at least some period of time).

He should randomize his nicks though as that's a too easy way to track his bot(s).
