Pretty crappy tactics that you simply all send out your ships as escorts for your big planets.
I know the members in Eclipse wouldn't stand for it for long, as most of them do have minds of their own and alongside wanting Eclipse to win, are well aware of their own skill. Being told where to launch, clicking launch, then waiting to be given further orders must be real hard.

I for one can't see much difference between LDK tactics of using escorts, and the Fang/Dragons officers simply telling people where, and how much to click, to get themselves more roids. These cog-in-the-wheel members are effectively bots, as they don't answer back, and do exactly what you tell them to do.

I'd like to hear some Fang member's retorts. Are you really this mindless?

To get through on big players, you need to send shitload of ships, but if he dont get defence and flee his fleet, you want to recall most of the fleets so you get max cap.. The interesting question is who should pull, and who should land..

TBH I think this thread applies more to Dragons than Fang. I can't think of any recent occurances of large Fangs selling out their peers, and they have generally come across with a one-for-all and all-for-one attitude. A certain other alliance, however, does spring to mind here. Be it Jurgen and Tuhoaja recalling early from Walken after agreeing with fang to land, or top Dragons recalling from a battle they'd win overall but lose enough ships to drop them down a rank or two, or Tuho running his fleet leaving defenders to die...
I'm hearing some sad stories about Dragons morale, and I've certainly seen several instances of their core members making a final suicide run on us after a bad BR. But hey, as long as Dragon command still have intact fleets, its worth it, right Tuhoaja?

I don't see how and why you think you can judge tactics of another alliance. What fang does, is meant for FAnG. How we attack and how they feel about it, is meant for FAnG. The pple that didn't like it left, they recently joined Eclipse ...

Just to break you out of the illusion, FAnG isn't or hasn't done anything remarkably different then Eclipse tactics, Ely tactics or for all I care any alliance's tactic. Experience tells us, that if you cannot get through on a target with normal amount of ships, you just double or triple the amount. It's common sence, or are you here now declaring that it is forbidden for

a: having BC's telling what the targets are
b: having BC's calcing and telling the pple what target is best suited for them
c: to attack a big planet with more then X amount of ships?

Also, fyi, members that DON'T like it, DON'T join the attacks .... I don't see anyone forcing anyone.

FAnG does not cheat, nor do we use bots. If a member is caught doing so, he gets kicked.

We got dozends of members like me, who gave up playing planetarion activly. This doesnt mean, we are not FAnG anymore. While doing stuff related to other games, I log into my account when a defence commander asks me too and of course I launch my little fleet to escort a top player, whenever they ask.
...Dont expect me to reply at provoking ingame mails though.

Regarding the skill...

Even though being head and shoulders above us in numbers, the coordinated attacks of Eclipse, Elysium, ToT and Howling Rain were not effective enuff to take down FAnG or Dragons yet. Our channels get relayed, our computers hacked and even our p-nicks discoverd to spy in temporary netgamers channels we use when our servers got dossed again....

And you still didnt manage to roid 30 idling #fangs?

Whenever we target a big planet, the BC who is organising MUST give orders to ppl (only after they volunteer their fleets tho ). Otherwise the attack tends to fail miserably. The BC must have a clear idea in their mind of the number of ships from where, what fake fleets are needed etc ^^

firstly, i'll vouch we dont use bots as i was one of the attackers which recalled.

secondly, there wasnt an escort. there was a large attacking force, if defence had been sent the attacking fleet would hav landed but it makes little sense the entire attacking force landing on a planet with no or little defence as its a massive waste of resources which could be used for defence later or to attack another enemy.

Fang dont orginise raids, the battlegroups do, and sometimes if they are lucky they get a target from fang, all they have/had to work with is 2 month old intel sheets that are tbh worthless.

Well due to rl issues uinterfering with the amount of time I could devote4 to the game, some crappy luck and being targetted waaaaaaay too much I am fully aware that I stnd no chance of fincishing top100 or very little.

As such I have done in the past and will in future wherever I'm asked within a certain level of reason. And the difference is individual players behind each planet. Also this would constitute team effort as opposed to wanting the best position for yourself personally regardless of what could be seen as the common good.

What has this to do with my thread Mikee?
1. I am loyal to the last ship to my alliance. I would gladly lose my entire fleet if I thought it would benefit Eclipse.
2. Me being no.1? This will have been when I sent my fleets out to suicide on someone, then went into vacation mode for the next 5 days while I was away? Yep, thought so.
3. Why am I officer in Eclipse? Well I guess you had better ask the:
a. Fang/Dragons members I have organised teamups on and destroyed.
b. Eclipse members I have sorted defence for.
c. Eclipse members (95% of them) I have sorted attacks for.

Aren't you the guy who got banned from #fang because noone liked you, and left Eclipse because of arrogance, then got decimated by them?
