Hey all,

I saw lots, lots and even more threads on PD and AD about the boringness of R9. even creators add their opinion in the announcement of the end of the round...

I just wanna say:

- I loved being the scanb*tch of Eclipse
- I loved organising the killing of hostiles.
- I loved asking for def and see 25 pms popping up begging me to use their fleet so they can get def points
- I loved getting def ever before I had hostiles so I could get a nice sleep
- I loved to frustate our enemies with day by day incommings
- I loved playing in Eclipse, and making new friends
- I loved seeing all our topplanets grow day by day
- I loved getting pm's of buddies asking me to put them friendly in our arbiter hehe, I don't even think about it :-)

I think you get it.... I JUST LOVED R9!!!!!!

it's not a "thank you for the round thread" I would have written it also when the round hadn't ended so soon. I just recieved some really nice comments today from arfa (always, love you hun), corzi (not even my alliance) and Racker, and then I realised: pa life is goooooood!!!!!!

Congrats Rudmer, for beeing on the winning team in a round of a text based game.
oh, and I suspect nobody will care who won r9 in the end, couse of its gheyness. But, hey its just life

Hehe.

I agree. I had a lot of fun.

It wasn't the most challenging of rounds (first one to flame me for saying "la la, you blocked, you had it lucky" is an asshat) but the community of Eclipse was really friendly. I really do feel I've made some new friends, and got to know some better than I did before.

I think I have the label of "talking too much" in channels, but that's because I like it in #eclipse. It has a good atmosphere.

This isn't one of those "rub it in your face" threads from Rudmer, so please don't flame back. You've spent the entire round whinging, now let us give our opinion.

you know what is really impressive about this round?

the way people give Eclipse so much credit by thinking they planned the round to go like this, put it this way if they could plan a round to be like this they would be unbeatable and would win every round they play.

you dont bare your throat to a wolf and then complain that it tears your throat out, for the morons out there who dont understand that analogy "YOU GAVE ECLIPSE THIS ROUND ON A PLATE, IF ITS ANYONES FAULT ITS YOUR OWN FOR BEING INEPT."

But isn't the blocking stabbing thingie, something that every round happen?

And Rudmer knows what constant incoming 14 days long is. And maybe you didn't read..

It's rudmer who loved the round, he isn't saying that it should be the best round for everybody... So just be happy for him... I'm happy!

yeah its something that happens every round, and thats why we have a cool 1.5K actively playing R9 (optimist number)...if those whimps would have any honour they would go at it alone! i hope R10 will be a lot better, and that finally skill will prevail over numbers all i see from Fury is 150K - 250K bash fleets and pod fleets coming at a 5 mil player, skillfull no, original no, effective yeah, but ofc the planets stop playing all and all..its not the way to go...i'm very pleased R10 will have builtin lame protection... blocking is bad ... but hey its been discussed over and over, so i'm not going to bore you...

just my opinion, i dont think rudmer or any Fury have anything to celebrate about, they won a war that could never be lost .... ow goodie how cool!

Did not play this round, so I could not care less. But it still amuses me to see the losing side whine here about something they would do when it was reversed.

If it is al so easy to win by blocking and stuff, well then just do it whiners

Yeah, it's a problem of the game.. Don't tell PA is so cool, only the alliance's make it bad... In most games you get more experience for beating a more skilled players, in planetarion there is not such a rule.. So why attack bigger players, if you get the same from smaller players?

This is a problem which need to be fixed, more fair battle's will enter the game..

Let's hope for a better round 10!
And indeed no 3 vs 1 situations..

The thing most people ignore is the fact that in every single round so far incredibly enough we all started off on exactly the same level. Now I'd dare say this would be easily refuted, as I haven't seen much of PA for a while, but right now there is a distinct lack of initiative in the universe. Partly it's the fact that xanadu, fury and legion (didn't mention titans here as I've never really seen them play) have all left the game over the past 2 rounds. Couple this with the steady drain on the number of players from p2p so far and you're left with what appears to me to be a fairly paralysed universe. People seem less willing to take the big risks for the big rewards unfortunately. I think that this has made round 9 dull for most people rather than some sort of eclipse master plan devised by sid who is reuniting fury and going to come back and rule the world from his secret moon hideaway with his laser death-ray.

PS I loved round 2!

Find em first, I think you will spend most of ur time doing that, then when u maybe have 30% of them, the round will be over again.

i still see many vvomm gals in top 100
at least my own

ecl played a good round, played their cards right and won
but still it wasnt like many vvomm havent said "we told u that will happen"

I was surprised when he didn't get incoming one day.

Actually, that's a lie. I was surprised when he didn't get incoming in one section of the day.

Usually he gets some every 5 hours or so.

This is an odd thing to say, people cared for r9 (more so than r8 if we go by the figures of paid planets). I love your trolls. They give me something to bite on.

This isn't a whine, just wanna tell how the round went for me.

I started off in ViruS, which is part of VoM (vvomm) ofc. Attacking started early and on the first night of incoming, I got no defense from ViruS. Many other nights of incoming with no defense as well, I think i got defended twice, no lie. At that point in time, I realized just how f*cked we were.

We had started off attacking, then the attacks slowly..or rather abruptly, died down into nothingness. So there we were, getting massive incomings everything and not really fighting back. That last part took the piss, we just rolled over and died without a wimper. Anyway, I couldnt really play until WEET broke up. (for a while i could never get passed 150 roids) After WEET broke, I start making solo incluster/para attacks, which is where i got most of my 1.1k roids now.

The last few weeks, I've been free, getting revenge on some NaR (and just hitting neutral) gals (hehe, dont take this the wrong way, but the WEET gals are too big for me to hit alone). Things are going well now, gal closing in on t100, and im hoping to at least get into the t1000

However, I am still glad to see 9.5 come, for my alliance sake and to try out a new race.

All in all, this round kinda sucked, compared to round 7 (i was in fltv), maybe this round wouldnt be so bad if i didnt have fond memories of back then, sigh.

I'll now leave you with this...

R9 was fun indeed. atleast for me. i spent everyday 4-6h with planetarion organising attacks. trying to reserve targets.
u have no idea how hard can target reserving be

now there sooooo many targets
