Round 8 has ceased to exist - Who won?
Okay sadly but truely Round 8 is now over; it won't continue.
So who won?
Who was the biggest meanie in the universe who trashed n00bs all around?
Which alliance has won this round, scorewise, roidwise, ratiowise, rankingwise and moral wise?
Did Fury finally get the beating they deserved for bashing n00bs all these rounds? Did the evil Lithuanian squad finally get a win on their own with the help of some good allies? Is Storebo still clueless? Do you like good music?
I want answers to all these questions so I challenge the HC to 'dish it out'... give us some cold hearted facts and digits that we can drool on , over and at...

when the game ended, in top10 there was 3 LDK planets.
if it would continue at least for few more days we would have 4 players in top10, as 1 member needed just few postitions to climb to it, by growing a bit score with his 10k roids. and without titans ofc it would never happen.

LDK won round 8, no doubts about that. congratulations
Titans played a very good round, without em LDK wouldnt have finished top. pld Titans
Plush was the best battlegroup around, well done WebAngel and Co.
Fury played a good round and showed Titans how to stand a fight and how to NOT chicken out like Titans did in round 7.
ohh and Storebo rocks more then u ever will Lord_Dain, he´s one of the best tactical brains I`ve ever seen around, maybe not as great as ppl like Focht, but still playing in another league like ur doing Lord
and to my battlegroup Insomnia:
I`m sorry that I couldn´t be around in the end, but u know RL>*
u guys rocked, thank u very much for a great round, lot´s of fun and for becoming close friends

Maybe, but you did still fail to put up a fight in r7
LDK gets my vote, and a deserved win too.

We didn't fight for our 'roids', that doesn't mean we didn't put up a fight. We killed lots of Fury fleet at the time and I think it would be pretty much impossible, given the odds, to have any more fun in that situation.
We still finished with plenty of top 250 planets (more than RaH, in fact).

I know everyone this round is looking at planet rankings however I would also like to say that galaxies shudn't be completely overlooked.
26:2 was an absolute joy to be in - in fact much better than many priv. galaxies I have been in in my time.
We were #4 at the end of the game and #2 in roid rank and were the fastest growing galaxy for the last two weeks. Unlike many of the galaxies around us we were driven by all 10 members and didnt have any one player on less than 1,300 roids. (15:3 were fairly balanced also)
So why does this have any relevance to who won? Well it does because 5 of the members in the galaxy were Titans. I know that looks suspicious and some people will prolly say there was account swapping or whatever but honestly 4 of us were there at the beginning of the round (3 in the Titans junior wing) and the other joined us after an exile Completely jammy or what!
I am confident that had the round continued for another 3 weeks we would have made #1 or at least given 15:3 a good fight for the top spot
Anyway, early on we had FAnG, Adelante, ToT incoming on a very regular basis and then later Fury (Hello - Kileman I am sorry u were never able to stay for tea on those two times u called to visit ) However our activity was so high that there was always 2/3 people online and everyone had accessible phone numbers and would come on when phoned. In addition we were warned in advance on EVERY FAnG/Adelante/ToT attack.
As a result of this we lost 0 roids to open play. One gal member (Duke_Leto) did get ob'd once - but taking roids off the hirr senator is a bit of a mistake and Leto and his hirr buddies got all the roids back (and more) in a retal on the attacker. The only thing the attacks did do was it slowed our own roiding down.
Anyway for history's sake 26:2 consisted of the following peeps:
Artanis - Titan
Baggy - RaH
Gandalf - WP
Globe - Titan officer
Hardin (me) - Titan (+BC of Lost Avengers AG and member of OuZo/Critters)
JDean - WP officer
K|ng - WP officer
Leto - hirr Senator
The^Mule - Titan
Trendkill - Titan (joined after exile)
We were the 'Grumpy Gits Flying Corps'
So there you go...If we had won the round you could say that Titans contributed 50%, WP 30% and RaH and hirr both with a nice 10% each

Kileman - LDK have some very good attackers but I NEVER saw a Titans defence breached when Titans had enough warning.
LDK and Titans was a partnership. LDK may have been better at taking some of your planets down but we helped them have a base from which to do it

We fought as was appropriate to the situation. You give us a coward's war like that, and you expect us not to employ guerilla tactics? You must think us very dumb.
Oh, and Titans/LDK. If you intend to count the top10, then you'd get LDK (and by my own measurement of 'single alliance' winners that gives them the victory), while if you consider other aspects you might be inclined to give Titans the win. Or if you are of a more diplomatic (and possibly more realistic) type then you'd accredit both alliances equally. Much like Legion/Fury in r5, in fact.

I'd say neither LDK as titans won the round. LDK/titans/allies won the round, as an outsider I have no clue which was the stronger one, nor do I even care

LDK had four top10 planets..not three, and quite a few in the top50. In the end, I believe it was almost equal between titans and ldk in the top50. However, LDK can claim one thing. #1 player, and a good portion of the #1 galaxy. As for 26:2, you guys would have gone down in the end because of your significant WP presence no doubt... but we would have welcomed the challenge!

So in the last few days of the round, Titans *wouldnt* have tried to take down the #1 LDK planet to see a Titans one there?
Or LDK wouldnt have tried to take down a Titans one?
Who really was the best alliance of R8?
the conjoint victory just doesnt work you see

Im actually proud to say virus did very well this round, great community and many big planets. Hard working officers and many dedicated members.
LDK: they are also the winners of this round in my book, But they couldnt have done it without Titans/plush/Virus.
Plush: showed in the end awsome firepower and i have to give WA credit for well played and well aimed attacks.
Titans: i knew ifront of this round that this guys was going to do good. And they did
FanG: I hope and pray i sometime again meet an such worthy opponent! well played.
Fury: 1 good - 1 bad - 1 good - 1 bad the padgern didnt stop, you guys were cnuted bad, haveing fury planets run into other alliances and into vacation was a good warm feeling.
But i know that next round you guys will be rocking again
RaH: didnt join any of the blocks, they are kinda winners also
Ely/Wp: finally steped down of the fence, and then signed an pact with the devil (fury :P ) Not impressive. Big planets counterd defenders or attackers in huge attacks. NOT impressive.
Looking on the round we may have a winner that actually deserve it,its onely the escort to put the finger on. But thats not against any rules and is an valid tactic perhaps.
all put together an really fun round, none stop action and great balanced stats. to bad we didnt got the chance to finish it in same style as the other rounds!

Personally, I would have loved the opportunity to have LDK go to war against titans. With the situation unfolding the day BEFORE the game went down, a large portion of titans would have left and the tides of the universe would have changed significantly. There is no doubt that if things had unfolded there would have been war, one LDK would have won.

The WP in our galaxy were under protection. They checked targets to ensure they were not hitting Titans and Allies and also started checking defences too.
As they had not proved hostile to Titans/LDK and were in a gal with Titan GC and Ministers this meant that they enjoyed Titans protection. Any LDK/Titans/Virus who attacked them would have lost their own protection.
AFAIK

lol, I find what you say quite amusing logbat, you don't seem to be the logbat I remember from round 5 - that logbat would never have considered what virus achieved this round to be a win, but I suppose if a win counts as being twatted over and over for the last 2 days, and having half the average score of tits/LDK, and getting your attacks blocked, and having your members succesfully countered on a frequent basis, then yes, under those circumstances, it could be classed as a win for virus :-)

Actually, in the last 2-3 days, this was not the case for attacks on virus. They tended to get through as often as not.

There are so many errors in what you say here, and what you've been told, that I don't want to point out every single one.
Titans and LDK were never going to have a war, not even if we had a week left and had cleaned the top 250 of hostiles.
You have absolutely no authority within LDK and no authority over anyone in Titans and so your claims are weak.

But you're poorer for having missed the experience. So you lost really. Don't have any life whatsoever and then you could have 24 hours sleep a day.

Its just such a shame that PA ended so abrubtly leaving us having to play " pretend winners ".
Such a shame that "offically" the final winners of PA are Fury and Titans never had their chance to win .....ever.
I feel so bad about that.

To be honest I don't even care about the winners of this round.... round 8 was boring as hell and I was hoping it to end for several weeks before it "died", but if it comes to which alliance won, then I'll definately vote for Fury that has been my community for more than 4 rounds. They are the real winners, not by score stance maybe, but with their effort this round and that they played hardcore till the end.
I want to thank all the Fury execs for these wonderful 4 rounds I've had with you. You all sure made my time
