*** PROBLEM FIXED ODDLY - here's what I had anyway ... ***
If a network card can work with Windows 2000, does it necessarily mean it will work Win XP? As my ethernet card says the driver has support for Win 2k & XP and it's my friend's newly purchased ethernet card for his win 2k system (I'm borrowing it). But XP claims it's not digitally signed and won't accept the driver after I force it to use it, and restart the pc.
WTF?
After I installed it, I notice a yellow exclamation mark next to my audio in device manager. I clicked disable then enable and it disappeared. But no sound is coming through my speakers. I think this is a conflict between the ethernet card and my speakers - problem is, my drivers are not updating
