Roleplaying
I don't really understand how this is done.
I would go and look but it seems I am not allowed onto that forum
I'm guessing that its something like when you were a kid and played Cowboys and Indians or variations of this.
My point is when I used to play this everyone wanted to be the hero, so a typical exchange would go
"I shoot you in the face and win!"
"NO NO, I dodged it and stabbed you in your arm. You can't shoot me now!"
"I pick up my gun with my other hand and shoot you in the face"
"I dodge it and cut your face off"
etc.
How do you RP'ers go about not having massively stupid "roleplays" with fights like the Neverending Story?

Hey, don't diss RP'ers. There are some truly great threads in the RP section, like CoD's bar thread. Uh, and... well.. you get the point!

Carsomyr +6 is decent, but then again you can't go wrong with a Staff of the Magi/Amulet of Power/Cloak of Non Detection/Robe of Vecna combo.
The Axe of the Unyielding +3 is great too, and Hindo's Doom +4.

I didnt think the RP forums were true RP
Ie, I remember there being a thing called "The Happy 'Roid Hotel" where everyone would just pretend they were staying in a Hotel. There was no mention of a scoring system.

My mouse unplugged itself.

You must use the Mouse of Paralysis +13! It paralyses your brain cells so much that you actually find rp-ing fun, fun, fun!
Oh my. I just busted my sarcasm glands. 'Scuse me while I hit myself with something hard!

Yes. Except now you got a decent brain, with some intelligence to add to the game.

By not being an utter twat about it? Rules help too, but I'm not sure I like the "make a strategy/adventure game, add some poor acting, and call it roleplaying" deal.

Dude, you do nothing AT ALL in RL.
WHAT MORE NEEDS SAYING?
PS: You know I don't play Vampire... at least right now. I have a few exams, remember? What was it that you do again? In RL I mean... Nothing? Oh my.
PPS: Besides watching intarnat pr0n I guess. You sure is the when it comes to intarnat pr0n!
(To everyone else: as you may have guessed, we know each other in RL)
