No.

Re: New scannerbutton
Being able to do gal scans even though you're not in a tag would be nice!

Re: New scannerbutton
Hmm, I would even extend it to a dropbox with:
* Scan the universe
* Scan a cluster
* Scan a galaxy
or summat like that.
The two first options would then be put into 1 url to not overload the scanspage ^^
Why not, mz?

Re: New scannerbutton
Utterly ****ing useless. If you want to undertake pointless actions, be my guest, but don't clutter the interface with this kind of crap.
That's why.

Re: New scannerbutton
Or maybe we could finally get rid of this retarded dependance on scanners altogether!

Point made. Now, could you offer a suggestion for progress as well?

Re: New scannerbutton
Change that stupid mouseover floating box crap... who uses hide coords option anyway?
Make the "select all" be for group scans, instead of hide coords.. then it would actually be useful...

Re: New scannerbutton
I'd actually like to see everything available for public eye at all times. Basically making scanning useless. It would also give an entirely different approach to launching attacks.
Or would this idea be too time consuming for the current PA players?

Use the search option before insulting me with this kind of crap. Thanks.

Okay. Although you could have helped the clarity of the thread by restating your opinion/suggestion. But I guess you are not that kind of person.

After digging into many many of your posts this is your main line concerning scans. Just before you state you like the idea of removing scans/scan dependency. (to be complete)
However, you haven't brought up any new suggestions for this issue. You just agree with some here and there.
So, where does this particular suggestion of a new scanner button violate your pov? And how would you like to see it?
Maybe it seems useless to you, but such a little addition could be very functional for scanners imo, also in the long run.

Re: New scannerbutton
My argument against the OP is clutter=bad. Nothing more to it.
Then Hutchi came up with a suggestion that really doesn't have anything to do with the thread:

My argument against this suggestion is that there are much better measures to combat the scanner problem. Changing the scan tech tree has been a recurring topic here on PS, so I figured a simple reminder of this fact would have sufficed. It's not like you're new here, so I saw no reason to write it all down again. There is nothing more to add to it, the idea is ready to be implemented. Either it gets done, or it doesn't. What more would you have me do?

Re: New scannerbutton
I can't remember all what is said on these forums. My head is cluttered too
Thank you for your elaboration.
And as a response to your ""So?" :
That shows a reactive, non-proactive attitude which means you are not very creative or just not showing any creativity due to some factor. Not that you should care much about that.
Only, you often say smart things on these forums in response to something. It would be interesting to see when you would use your creativity in an initiative. ^^

Re: New scannerbutton
One quick and easy way to stop a "alliance scanners" and getting it out to the "people" is to remove the research for all waves and remove Amps/Dists. Then the scanning is availible for everyone.
