Planet or alliance?

Personally i like to do well but im here for the community so i would put my alliance first (unless its a hopless cause)

One problem is this, it is the pride of an alliance to have one of their planets win the round - it shows that they can stop heavy incomings from formidable opponents. Whilst it all sounds very noble for an alliance to sacrifice your #1 spot for an alliance win to me it just shows that the top alliance can't defend incomings properly. Sorry ;)

Also from your post it suggests that this top planet losing a load of score might affect the standings for top alliance. It is probably very likely with extra defence from terrans and cats that you would be able to reduce the total value/score lost overall in defence over one planet taking large damages. Also if the losses are spread out over planets who all have their own roids/stealing ships to rebuild rather then just one planet with one set of roids they'd be able to recover the score quicker

I would go for #1 spot if my alliance is so far ahead of #3 that spreading losses means no disadvantage for the alliance
