Now if they were running out of food, wouldn't it have been logical to eat Oreo first? Instead of Vish, Vish being a coder, and Oreo merely some adv. bloke?

Legolas is an unknown quantity at this point
I think they wanted to edit the ticker and run 1 minute ticks for the players (due to high deman).It was Vish who coded the ticker however and would have none of it - therefore the obviously idea was to eat Vish, therefore assimulating his copyright control (that was prolly FSAS anyway).
They then were violently ill and forgot about the whole situation, hence will deny this ever happenned.
