Faster Incoming Scan !?
Can we move the Reserach of the Incoming Scan ?
like
Pscan / Lscan / IAscan / Uscan etc...
or even
Pscan /IAscan/ Lscan / Uscan etc...
cause
1) with earlier IA Scans fakin gets harder, which will espacially help the less experienced players
2) a "normal" planet doesnt have to research the full scan tree
3) dists become more useful again, if u still want to fake

Re: Faster Incoming Scan !?
No. Whether or not to get incoming scans is a strategic choice. By moving them to earlier in the scanning tree, you remove that choice (or rather, yet another such choice).
Additionally, the planets that get incoming scans last are the planets with a lot of roids who have to spend their RP on HCT. It is exactly the badly performing newbie player who has time to get incoming scans quickly.
I agree that dists should get a boost, but I do not think this is the right way to do it.

So he gave them the coy little wave and realized it probably would have been more effective if he hadn't been lying on their turkey.

i disagree
lets look at your exampel of a well performing planet aka roiding and not been roided
he will need amps to make his IA scans useful, cause everyone else will have dists, at least should have if he wants to fake
he will in that case have to miss out on fcīs which will make his amount of roids less productive
aka he will grow a bit slower then he could
or
he will simply not bother with amps and iascan research no matter if its earlier in the branch or not

Re: Faster Incoming Scan !?
you can get incscans early enough as it is now, especially with the bonuses. Advice people to do incscans before core research instead.

Re: Faster Incoming Scan !?
so what if he aint growing as fast as he could if he had IA scans? Thats the choice he needs to make.. either go and research IA asap and therefor lose a bit from his income/roidmine or just go full out for HCT research and wait until later and research em then..
or he could also go demo or sth. and research HCT and IA scans both faster

Re: Faster Incoming Scan !?
i just dont get why u need to research all those scans as a normal player, just because u want to be able to scan your incs
+ dists would be starting to have some value again

An inc scan has a huge value because it basically nulifies any chance of fake on you. It's not supposed to be extremly fast.
Also, from a logical point of view, does it make sense to be able to recognize ships using "Warp Particle Detection" before "Unit Analysis" and "Decryption Algorithms"?

from a logical point of view, wouldnt it be easier to scan a fleet heading towards your planet, then sending wave transmissions through all universe detecting what ships the planet have build overall ?

Thirded. Incoming scans are, in theory, the most important scan in the game (for individual planets). As long as there are scanners that can take care of the rest of the scans for you, the incoming scan is the only one that forces planets to do the scan tree. As mz said above, it creates a tactical dilemma which adds difficulty and strategy to the game.

Re: Faster Incoming Scan !?
Inc scans are fine where they are.
Dists are completely useless and should be boosted to add a viable alternative to FCs. They're insanely expensive at the moment, not to mention the loss of income by not having FCs. Maybe make the cost formula less steep and perhaps make them slightly faster to build than amps?

Re: Faster Incoming Scan !?
Sounds good to me. 750 of each per level and 900 CU is probably a good start.
