strange mouse-problem

sometimes my mouse doesnt work. When WinAmp or DVD-Decrypter are active, the pointer hardly moves, it doesnt react to left-clicks and so on. When i then alt+tab to anyother application, like firefox, everything works fine again. i had a look at the tak-manager, but there's nothing out of the ordinary.
Can anyone explain that?

Re: strange mouse-problem

it seems to be the mouse (although why only in some applications and not in others, i have no idea). If i use my old usb-mouse everything works fine.

Re: strange mouse-problem

Try looking at the drivers before you do. Perhaps disable the device then renable it and/or reinstall it and see if that works?
