Mystery of girls...
Heres the story so far;
Girl 1 (17)) Blonde, tall (same height as myself) and pretty - ideal really in looks. Personlity, pretty good, funny, enjoys a laugh, serious, clever ish (at my college) and seems to be very honest/loyal.
Girl 2 (17)) Just smaller than myself, brunette and VERY pretty. Clever (at my college), very funny, VERY shy, clever, social and very honest/loyal.
Now, both these girls have admirers and, obviously i am one of them. I'm going to ask both of them out on a date but where/when? Cinema? Bowling? Meal (yes a restaurant not McD's..)? Any other? Any romantic ideas?
Money is a semi-issue, i can spend roughly £20 perhaps stretching to £30 on them.
What to do?
All replies grately appreciated!
Cheers,
Richie

Re: Mystery of girls...
Not a cinema.
Probably the worst place to go with a gal.
Unless you do tings to her when the lights go out.

Themion is right on the dinner-part.
Cinema mostly works out okay for me, pretty 'neutral'.
(Except when the girl had eye surgery little over a week back and therefore isn't allowed to look at anything flashy and cries a river everytime somebody mentions it. Way to make a first impression :/ )

Re: Mystery of girls...
Take them both to the local chippy, then on to the 'offy' for some White Lightning followed by threesome in a bush behind the bus shelter.
Romance is alive.

Re: Mystery of girls...
Cinema is the worst first date ever, you can't talk to the girl, what's she going to say afterwards, we sat in the dark for a few hours and I didn't get to know him at all, I definately want to see him again based on his sitting watching a movie skills, oh and cliche +++.
Just take them for a drink or something.
Edit: Do as Phalon says ! Classy as.

Re: Mystery of girls...
bowling is rediculous too, unless it is really crowded or something, but letting her win etc ... dont go anywhere 'competitative' .... i however am a very bad loser at times, and wouldnt let my gf win .. or i would think 'she can win this' and then misses it on 2 points.
i still go for cinema ... don't go 'just for drink' unless you are one of the best story tellers around and can make her feel confortable, yet you not overpresent.
if she is a sportsfan a match is an option, tho cheap and townie-alike, you could get good bonding being fanatic for you local team of whatever.
First rule, take it to her territory, if you are the sportive guy and she isnt, dont go karting or whatever, if she is rather sporting and active and you are more the quiet one, go out and do something active.
cinema however, is very neutral, especially if you could just make her say 'oh yes i want to see that movie' to which you move in 'what if i took you there?'
[edit] After the movie ofcourse, you go and discuss it and conversation brakes loose, it shouldnt be all movie ofcourse, it's a prelude to things to come

I would think you're romantic if you took me to McD's.
But seriously, given that if it was a warm, sunny week, I'd say go for a picnic if she's into the whole sitting on top of a grassy hill and love to have a bite and chat at the same time. Works wonders for me sometimes.

Re: Mystery of girls...
meet for a coffee (baring in mind she's under 18 i'm guessing you are too)*, then maybe cinema then go for food (find a cheapish restaurant).
If you reckon you can get served go for a quiet pint, or two.
You won't have to pay for everything. unless she's a cheap bint and then she's not worth it. Equality works both ways!

Re: Mystery of girls...
This is how you do it....
You call them both, seperate times, you talk and share issues with them, remember to share your issues too.
Then when you both come to a natural conclusion to your conversation make sure you tell them goodbye in the following manner.
"Cheers, Richie" and sign off like a total ****ing plonker.

I live in bloody London. I know it's autumn. I know it's cold, windy and gloomy all over the crap country. I'm just saying that if the weather was good (meaning warm, sunny, etc.), a picnic would be ideal.

If you can put it off without coming over like a dork and if you think she might enjoy it, take her to a Zoo or a themepark. Somehow I am going to try Zoo soonish! You might be more comfortable (and she as well) when the entire activity isn't focussed around both you and the girl.

Take them both out together, see if they hit it off = threesome.
It'll never work, but then again, thats what they said about Di and Charles.

Re: Mystery of girls...
I have a friend.
This guy is a cheap bastard.
When he takes a girl out for a date he takes them out to lunch.
Apparantly it's alot cheaper (no late night taxi's etc ... also the food is cheaper).
Is this of any help?

Re: Mystery of girls...
Hmm, hard thing to get right. If you don't see them out socially then you're in a pickle. Talk to them a good bit first and see what they are interested in. Make sure you flirt so you don't fall in any friendship traps.
If either like anything that you could turn into a date, use that. If not then try to judge what would have the best impact.
Dinner would be a very...erm...'serious' thing for a first date at your age. A coffee or lunch would be much lighter, easier and better if it comes to that.

Re: Mystery of girls...
I see some nice suggestions here. heres my take on them
Lads the zoo idea rocks! I use to it quite alot. It just works there is no explanation (also good if they have a sprog especially cos u can be childish too and getaway with being cool!)
Dace - Lunch - very good idea, especially if ye work near each other. Cos at work its shit but at lunch its nice so it sets the mood.
Cinema only works in conjunction with something else like a meal/drinks so can you discuss shit ie kickstart the convo
Drinks - works aswell but sometimes its better to go out as a group so the bird doesn't feel intimidated
Coffee - this is more intimate because ur not relying on drink to get you what u want. helps to build bit of trust n all that crap
Evening Meal - this can be expesnive but if you need to impress a chick its the way to go. A nice bottle of wine accompanying the meal helps. Red with red meat Whiie with white meat! Just remember if u start like this sum bints think its will always be like this. Beforewarned!
Car Drive with sightseeing - can work sometimes depends if they trust you enuf to get in the car with ya!
hope it helps you bunch of losers!

as an alternative to this i would like to point out that you are 17 and can probably quite easily go out and pull and get easy sex on a weekend without any commitment and for the price of a couple of drinks*

She goes out to parties and such but is a very shy person in that she won't approach you at all, she'll wait for you to come to her. Very introvert (is that the word?).
Thanks for the suggestions guys, i'm going to take the brunette out for a cinema film and a meal, hopefully it'll go smoothly I'll keep you informed about it - any cheesy chat up lines people have i could use (which WORK).
Thanks again,

Re: Mystery of girls...
Do you ever go out? Clubbing / to a pub or whatever? Just go along with them. £20 or £30 worth of drink is enough to get most people lathered up, and especially on the shy one, will open her up quite a bit.
On the subject of the shy one, you've definitely got to be quite forward. She'll probably be quite greatful as she'll be too nervous to do anything and if she likes you will be dying for something to happen. Of course, if she doesn't like you, she'll think you're a total twat and you'll look like a fool, but c'est la vie.
Only stupid / poor people are impressed by spending large amounts of money on a date, so I wouldn't worry about that. Try to forget the clichéd bullshit you've seen on TV about what an ideal date should look like.
To be honest, the best idea so far has the one about getting some white lightning. And I'm serious. OK, not the bit about a threesome, obviously.

Usually every weekend (fri and sat night) i go to either a bar or pub or a gig occasionally. Both these girls are lightweights and are "cheap to run" also i've found out. I'd do your white lightning idea if the weather was better as that'd be a picnic/evening style sunset type of evening. Good idea though. Also i'll probs try the drinking on the shy one, may "open her up" a little (more ways than one )
Thanks,
Richie
