I'm doing abysmal in this league
It's as though I am cursed to be unable to do well in more than one of these tournaments at a time.

SYMM, Lupin and Zharkov seem to have given up so you should finish clear of the bottom 3 by default
btw (unless there are objections) I intend to end this league in early Jan when 21 games have been played (I'd prefer the exact half-season on P19 on Dec 28, but with so many games in quick succession over Xmas, P21 leaves a nice 10 day gap for planning the next one)

I was going to ignore it (to keep the games played even) but I think there's a week in December when Sunderland don't have a game so.....
30 [Sunderland] Reidy v sniborp or MrL_JaKiri or KoeN or furball [Liverpool]
I'll take the prediction of the first one of those four to post
(and post a full list for this week tonight probably)

Re: [football] the big league rnd 4
I'll use sniborp's as he was first even though he made a total ****up of it
The other three names will be Reidy's next three opponents* anyway so you'll all get a chance to take advantage of his "hopeful" predictions.
(*when he isn't predicting against someone with a fixed team)

SCORING
G = 1 point = generally right : final score accurate as far as home/draw/away
A = 2 points = almost right- correct home goals in a home win prediction
- correct away goals in an away win prediction
- any non-exact draw in a draw prediction
- correct goal difference (has to be generally right too)
X = 3 points = exactly right... obviously the exact score
and 1 point each for- H = correct half-time
- S = scorer
- T = Time (+-3 minutes)

I am.
But I honestly can't see Sunderland winning away from home let alone win at home.

I thought I'd lost, and this afternoon the websites did say Crouch scored the first goal, but then it changed to...

*ahem*
Ill defend Phangs corner on this one by pointing out that William Hills paid out on Crouch as first goalscorer (and i made £30 on that at 5/1)
Which makes it a draw

Re: [football] the big league rnd 4
MOTD said it was crouchs goal as well, and I agree with them tbh. Looking at it he hit it and it deflected off the defender and kinda into the keepers hands but the keeper just kinda mucked up and dropped it behind him. If say he took a penalty and it went in the keepers hands but then dropped out instantly, it would still be a goal for crouch.
By the way kura your sig is really "flash flash flash"
wtf is it?

My main three sources, livescore, BBC and football365, all say Pollitt.

Re: [football] the big league rnd 4
Well heres a few places that disagree just to counter balance the argument
skysports
Ladbrokes
Liverpool FC
Wigan Athletic FC
William Hill
Whats interesting is that Britains two major bookies credited crouch with the goal, even though it would've cost them thousands and both liverpool and Wigan credited crouch with the goal.
This quote on Liverpools site is rather interesting

"Our official records will record that Peter scored twice against Wigan Athletic. There is absolutely no reason for any panel to consider whether the goal should be credited to him."

Re: [football] the big league rnd 4
hmm, it took a massive deflection first though and then the keeper bundled it in, i dont know it watched it once, but i was too disappointed from the Arsenal result to care.
But go me today tho
