[PA on] Portable Hardware

Thought it might be good to confirm which portable hardware PA can be played on, and maybe get some links / tutorials to help others out.

Adding more systems can surely only be a good thing.

I for one have failed to get it working on Opera8 for nokia 6series (6670), and I'm getting a PSP soon - does it work on PSP ?

Main problem appears to be cookies - this is also aimed at developers.

Does PA use complex cookies? Maybe this can be tidied up with PAN.

Re: [PA on] Portable Hardware

PSP's have a web browser when you have firmware 2.0 installed, which runs pa, you do need a wireless connection tho, so not much more convenient than a laptop.

However, PA on mobiles ftw

Re: [PA on] Portable Hardware

Then the questions evolve:

What mobile devices support AJAX?

I know opera8 claims to, but then I didnt even get PA r14's login working let alone get into the game.

Re: [PA on] Portable Hardware

At the moment I can play PA on my Orange C500 Mobile Phone (also called HTC Typhoon/Qtek 8010/SMT5600 and other names worldwide). This has IE installed as part of the Windows Mobile SE 2003 OS. I think that any phone classed as a Smartphone (as opposed to Symbian - which I haven't tested) would be able to play PA on. Some PDA's use a slightly different version of portable Windows, but I suspect the same/similar version of IE, so probably they could be used too.

Doesn't seem to cost too much on my GPRS usage either. I get slight issues with the java stuff, but otherwise most things are fine - if a little small to read.

As just to make sure you can be really active yet on the move at the same time - you can get IRC clients for PDA's and Smartphones too :-)

Re: [PA on] Portable Hardware

I bought a MDA vaio (T-mobile NL) (think this is the QTEC 9010) and tried login in to PA.
It worked very well, only had to change the font size to very large once the secret question needed to be answerd.
And yes it was nice and fast over GPRS

Works just fine on a Treo 600 or 650 from Palm.
