Just wondering if PAcrew have ever thought of about helping out people in need of a scan by doing the occasional scan here and there. I know they put so much time and effort into this game allready, so we can hardly ask for more, still, perhaps theyd enjoy the opportunity to be involved in the actual game play aspect of PA (or maybe not

,) as opposed to just the administration side of it.

PAcrew thoughts?

I dont honestly think that would work, favourtism etc, seems unfair.. some people with apoccos number would just be ringing him getting scans for their alliances

seems abusable..

I am in favour. The infrastructure is already in place after all (#transcendancy, #scans).

There are a couple of rounds where i've done this already, it wasn't all that much used, just when ppl couldn't get a hold of their alliance scanners.
I'll probably do this again in future rounds as well, except it's not overly easy keeping it "running".
Unlike most/all gals we're rather defenseless and there's quite a lot of ppl out there that finds it seriously fun hitting us with SKs, it's also rather hard to keep roids to generate enough resources considering we get hit by planets 2-3 times our size

I'd have thought you'd prefer not to lay yourselves open to even more (unfounded) allegations of favouritism and abuses of (admin) powers.

Try not to make yourselves even easier targets.

Why would it be admin powers if cin made amps and scans like any other player ?

Why would it be admin powers if cin joined an alliance and made ships then attacked/defended? Its nothing to do with using them but as to being impartial to the community. Making them 'scanner' planets will just lead to accusations of favoritism, where he's giving scans to some people and blatently ignoring others etc.

+ im pretty sure the PA team dont want to be spammed with scan requests.

At wht point was there a suggestion of PA crew joining an ally, and then attacking/defending? Im pretty sure there would be a rule against that.

As far as being impartial scanner planets, how can it be biased if they get a list of scans wanted, and scan them? There are multiple ways where that aspect can be removed, if it is really _that_ much of a concern. Admin have been acting somewhat unbiased towards us for a long time now, im sure its possible for them to continue being so.

no one with a certain ingame access level can be in an alliance and gets put in 1:1, we also can't attack planets that hasn't been hostile to use, nor send or receive def to/from planets not in 1:1

Rounds i've been doing scans, anyone could ask and providing i had the resources to do it, they'd get the scan. Only things i wouldn't and won't do is full galaxy scans for raids etc as that's something alliances really should try to do themselves and i'd be somewhat "helping" an alliance which would be bad.
