How far are we into the round now anways?
40-50%?
I cant seem to recollect people screaming about beeing number 1 at tick 1,10 or 100, so why now? :|

Ok, to be more precise about how to become #1:

Actual Skills needed:

- picking the right targets when your alliance offers a number of them
- having a good fleet composition

Other factors, not being skills:

- having an alliance that will defend you when its usefull/needed
- being in the right galaxy -> either from the start, or due to mass exiling
- having luck on your targets defense wise
- being attacked when your alliance isnt dry on def
- being checked upon by mates while you get some sleep/awayness
- for some: cheating.
- Investing too much time, which has, contrary to what most ppl say, NOTHING to do with skill, just the willingness to have no life

What did i forget? :P
