Shaving
Is there a more annoying thing to have to do every, nay any, morning? I mean for ****s sake there is nothing in my life that requires me to have facial hair (although I suppose it would be of some use if I ever needed to blend into a large hairy bush to avoid a blind mongoose on the rampage). As such I have decided to grow a beard. However I fear it is not going well and while nobody has said anything to me yet I think I look like a bit of a twat. Now I intend on going "on the pull" (that's something us normal folk do dear internet people) tomorrow night so should I bite the bullet and shave it off or go out possibly looking like a twat. I realise this would work better with a picture but if you can all just compile a picture in your mind and give your opinion that'd be great.

Re: Shaving
I think its impossible for a bearded man to pull, though i tend to do better when i have some stuble rather than completely clean shaven.
Shaving doesnt really bother me, i use an electric razor so it only takes 2 minutes each morning.

Re: Shaving
As someone who's having to shave more and more often, it's now clear that having to shave is one of the greatest evils forced upon us by nature.
Stubble's probably the best but you seriously don't want a beard.
Shave.

Re: Shaving
Guess I'll be shaving it off then. I probably won't pull due to dying my hair green in honour of the impending spectacular irish victory over the Brazilians but whatever heh.

I grew a beard once.
Well, not so much grew a beard as 'not bother to shave for 3 months'.

Hey, if you 'pulled' with the beard (looking like a twat), imagine how well you'd do without it.

I have taken to not shaving at all, except when I'm going out on the pull.
Bearded men never pull folks, ever.

PS I have a turtleneck nod but not a beret. Can you send me one? And a pair of tattered sandals please.

I find it a lot easier to shave now that I change my blade a lot more regularly.
A lot less painful too.

Re: Shaving
electric all the way - you just sometimes need to empty it... although I do find that by evening i am a bit scratchy.
Always shave before going out on the pull, kissing people with stubble is nasty for the poor girls and they will avoid it if possible.
Whenever I can't be arsed to shave for a bit, my 'beard' is half blonde as well as brown and it looks really crap. and I have to shave my 'tache cos otherwise it looks shit.

Re: Shaving
As an aside, is it just me or are Wilkinson Sword razors really crap?
The other day I needed a razor and was going to get the usual Mach 3 rubbish, but was a quid short, so got the best Wilkinson's there was. Utter pants, I ended up using my months old Mach 3 (which was still vastly superior).

Re: Shaving
King shave shaving oil and mach three turbo blades are the only way for me.
And until a month ago I had a goatee, which though I loved was scaring people away and surprisingly much much more difficult to maintain than doing a full shave all the time.

Re: Shaving
I used an electric blade for a while, it chewed up my face and made it scratchy later in the day. Now I am back to razors and happy. The MACH 3 Turbo now. Its closer then electric, cleanering feeling and does not chew the face up (if you change blades regulerly).
Now when you shave, do you shave agaisnt the grain or with it.
When I want a really close shave its against the grain but its a we bit uncormftoable and for everday (office) I shave with the grain.

Re: Shaving
i used to buy the mach 3 turbo, but then realised the blades cost about £50 each. so i just bought a superdrug own brand cheapy razor with cheap blades.
ps - how much stupider can the names get? i saw a 'mach 3 turbo champion' advertised on the telly the other day.

Pulling girls does not really have anything to do with how much facial hair you got.

5? nay! I shall await the 100 bladed beast that removes all facial hair in one swipe (and probably much skin too). It shall be called the 'Mach 3 Turbo Champion Elite Sportstar Titanium Hercules....." you get the idea.
