I need to make the most excellent birthday card for my mum
any ideas how to go about this? Atm all I can think of is :
get some card
fold card in half
write 'mum' on the front with a prittstick
cover in glitter
shake
it needs to be ace!
(I want to severely go all blue peter on this!)

Hate to burst the bubble but just buy one and get an ace gift. Maybe a statuette (Royal Daulton or somthing), or pay to take her out to a nice restaurant with the rest of the family. It may cost but its only once a year

making her a card would be cool
mom's always appreciate that kind of stuff.
you've got the idea already... dunno what other suggestions you're looking for. draw hearts or flowers? i think that's a bit over the top

write "Happy birthday, for when everything goes to pot" and sellotape a joint in the inside of the card.
Risque, but amusing.

All of you disgust me with your pseudo-materialistic endorsement of commercialism at the expense of more traditional methods of gift creation.

Do it on Microsoft Publisher. Where they have at least 6 different pictures of birthday cakes to choose from.

ive just found out im not getting paid.
as such i cant even afford the glitter and the card.
i love being me, its nothing but a rollercoaster ride of failure, consummating in a cataclysmic embolism of pain and dispair as at the end of each day I look forward to laying in bed alone with a headache gripping my temple like a junkie holding onto his last hit.

You surely have some pencils and/or pens at home?
Take a paper, fold it, make big "graffiti" leters, (To Mum, happy b-day mummy or something simmilar)and fill them whit red and pink, (hearts, etc). And write a poem on the inside, together whit some congratulations and stuff.

In the words of Skunk Anansie,
I dont need your charity!
but thanks for the kind thoughts on this dark bleak day. I'd just like to get paid for the hard work I have done, in a reasonable time frame, like proper people with jobs do! :/
