I had plans to continue after the disbanding. I never asked about changing the name, but it would have been called FOX (Friends of Xanadu... and clever as a fox ) very likely. Just that I came with a different formula, an unproven formula, so didn't want to take the chance to discredit Xanadu's name. At that time it wasn't doable really


Honestly, if zip and I decide to restart it we don't need some sort of public support. Sas and Grim know us, respect us and trust us. (Heh, I've been involved with Xanadu since r1 (and before that as well actually - longest lasting Xanadu person in PA \o/)).
I have as much a say in this as Grim or Sastul for that matter, let alone Olrik. They know that if there's one person who doesn't like to see Xanadu's name/reputation 'hurt', it'd be me. hehe


If Xanadu comes back, it will definately not be a fake. But with a proven formula, and with some good old core players. There's plenty of them around who would instantly leave their current alliance(s) to join Xanadu

Mixed feelings as to if Xanadu coming back would be a good or bad thing.

But the entire name/reputation is one of the reasons why Fury will never return since no c7r are left (only they have official usage of the name and every single one of them have moved on or are no longer interested in command roles/game itself).

It's partly why Eclipse has attempted to shun the Fury links and attempt to "cut" them off, so anything Eclipse does will not reflect upon Fury. Even though Eclipse has won the war's it has been involved in so far, this still doesn't change my opinion. They are Eclipse victories, not Fury's.

Who knows. Perhaps one day Fury will return, but I highly doubt it unless Planetarion gets a whole lot better.

Peeps... Xanadu could come back to PA if it was the desire of some key members and supported by the founders. We'
ve been chit chatting about the idea but that does not mean it will happen.

It's just that so many members want it back. PMs about this day after day.

As far as Xanadu coming back and not being what it once was or trying to live up to some reputation or being without wings... We NEVER cared what everyone else thinks. If we brought it back it would be for the members who want it back.

Xanadu was always about community first and playing the game second. Not that we did a bad job at playing the game

Our community and spirit was also reflected in the wings we took on. All our wings were very much like us, competitive and good community.

Many Xanadu in PA now are missing that community in PA.

Having said all that... we also like to be competitive and we would not return unless we could be.

So you gibbons (Grim thingy) you'll have to just wait and see.
Eve is on sale now.. so for the time being we have our hands full.

For the moment i think xanadu got enough work in Eve. But if PA got back to its former glory who knows

Will EVE xancorp players be allowed into Planetarion Xanadu?

Or will Xanadu use their old vouching methods to cut dead meat like they should?

Right now, we don't know, and we don't care Different games, different type of players. XanCorp, next to non-PA players has members from various PA-alliances... you draw your own conclusion.

Btw, what's xtothez got to do with this?

No hard feelings Just curious as to why he mentioned Lrytas.. He never did anything for Xanadu as a whole..I thought everyone knew that....
As for xanadu quality leadership id say zip, Sastul, Grim, Shiva etc.. Not counting the wing HCs as they mainly concentrated on the wings and their role in Xanadu... Reason why I wouldnt rejoin is that Ive got a new alliance already and im happy there...

I can tell you that we in Xanadu had a great time. I'm fairly sure the same could be said from Elysium, WP, ND, Tuba, NoS, Cell, etc... (Left out Legion and Fury on purpose, internal alliance problems etc...)

1. Xanadu's had a NAP with NoS throughout the whole round actually, since they left us (Legion/Xanadu), til the end of the round. So there's nothing shocking about it imho.

2. I have no idea what para you were in so I won't comment on that. But ofcourse there were many neutral galaxies, it was a free round, with lots of players.

3. I can safely inform you that that's BS. I've said it often before... We were set out to fight Fury/WP in round 4. We continued doing that until the ticks stopped. Therefor we didn't interfere with your personal vendetta's (NoS vs Legion).

Start of round four was great I thought. Unfortunately when we really kicked off fury weren't at their usual high standards, and the result stagnated a tiny bit. I always would have liked to see VeX slug it out with NoS/Cell at the end of the round but I cannot really say i blame xan considering their position heading into r5. I (VeX gal that round) can recall a large number of retals and just plain roidings on allied gals. Parallel politics kept it interesting, although at that stage a few of the p-alliances were set up and exploited purely as large farms. Better than round five however!





PS Seeing Xanadu back for r10 would be ace, especially seeing as unlike others, eg fury, the memberbase spread out across the universe in various alliances.




PPS Judging by what jester said he was probably one of the NoS ****ers who nailed my planet six weeks in or whatever it was heh.

When Xanadu had an alliance with elysium and legion, and NoS were the prominent non-triad force in the game, it doesnt make a lot of sense to nap them (besides the whole round 5 rubbish). Fury were dissapointing, everyone whooped their ass, then Xan sat back and did nothing, planned for round 5, and then claimed to win round 4 . Imho either legion or Nos won round 4, as they actually bothered to fight as best they could.

Xanadu could have either suspended the NoS Nap till the end of the round or havoc, or they could have left Legion and Elysium on their own, allied with NoS and made a good fight of it. I personally was part of NoS at the beginning of the round, and then left for Legion when NoS left the triad because i didnt want to "split" my galaxy. Unfortunately, my legion/xanadu gal was pointless, as no one could really attack us, our galaxy couldnt attack NoS as a whole etc etc. I was the HC of paralel 24, a completely Legion / Xanadu / NoS dominated paralel. There wasnt any WP or Fury at all if i can remember rightly.

Note that i am not currently playing PA, and i left Legion just after midway through round 5 because Legion was god awful then. I didnt leave on particularly good terms either, so i dont have a Legion "slant" on politics.

Then not legion, NoS. At least those two bothered to fight. And WP werent exactly much of a force then, so claiming to win a war against them isnt much kop. I dont remember CpV claiming success in round 3 because they overran SL :P

NoS were part of the Vts/Xan/NoS triad, then they left, and kept a nap with Xan. Then there was a brief nap or alliance with WP, wasnt there? Understandable, because both were fighting the triad. I hardly see how they switched sides too many times. It would have been a lot more conveniant if they had remained in the triad for the duration of the round yes, but still.

Believe me, im not a great legion fan, My parallel did more to help me than Legion ever did in my entire stay. But at least Legion and NoS tried to fight, whereas Xan just sat in the middle, no help whatsoever. There was no point in Xan and Legion having any sort of an agreement, as from very early on everyone knew it was going to be broken, and considering the only person that could possibly hurt legion was nos, and xan couldnt/wouldnt defend against them, Xan were pointless.

And i dont know very well Scorpio, but you are / were an alliance HC, i presume you are smarter than resorting to the Jolt/DF3 "lol you just dont get it" method of debate, eh? Its not very smart, or helpful
