Remove construction limit

There's room for more than 250 structures in my street. I have a whole planet. Come on.

More pertinently, it seems silly that high cons speed governments and races are punished for their choice when they hit the cap. And that's not even very hard.

Sitting there with "Construction: Nothing" for 200 ticks hurts my soul. Please.

i think the bigger issue is you can be at that amount of constructions at this time already and perhaps the maximum construction bonusses should be looked at instead.

The same argument could be made for Researches, ideally there would be more levels of Research than you could finish in a round, making your choices more impactful and making planets more unique rather than everyone having the same things done end of round.

I also don't really see why Finance Centres are limited after Refineries have been made so much more efficient; their cost will be the limiting factor in building too many.

I agree unbounded research would make sense. However, that would be somewhat more work to implement, because it'd require more research levels (which are hardcoded, unfortunately). Removing the construction limit is as simple as it sounds: just remove a few lines of code here and there.

There is not even a need to change a single line of code..
During havoc the construction limit is increased.. hence it's a variable and already configurable..

There's a lot that could be changed in the game in "does this actually make sense" -kinda manner... You have frigging spaceships, yet you need to "research infrastructure" so you can build houses? You're a freaking zillion years old race that's spread around the universe, yet you start with a windup propeller in your spaceships and a shovel to mine resources with? You know everything already about other races, yet you need to research your own ships so you can build bigger ships? You're supposed to be allied with other planets and living next to a few too, yet you only exchange mails with them (not tech)?

It's not so much about making sense to me as it is about making rounds more different from each other. Currently you end every round the same way, with (mostly) the same constructions and the same researches. The only real variation is choosing between XP or value, and what government you start to get to the end result, and I think almost everyone has 'been there and done that'.
