300,000 of the UK population are Jedis !
Just saw an article on Channel 4's news, where they were discussing the results of the last UK census.
They mentioned that 300,000 people had entered Jedi as their religion 
If anyone remembers, there were loads of emails flying around before the census started encouraging people to do this, and I was one of them!

I worked on the Census (as a census enumerator) and I can confidently say the whole process was a load of bollocks. Total waste of tax-payers money, and utterly unreliable.
In the district that I and a friend "censused" (erm?) there were 600 properties or so. 500 of these properties we had to invent figures for. Still, we were paid roughly £400 extra due to the royal **** up.
And the census is a dodgy concept anyway. "We can fine you £1000 if you don't fill out our questionairre!".

Is that enough for it to be a recognised religion, if so can we have every star wars film release date as a "religious holiday"
and various other dates, that various nerds can make up for us, if we get more than the 2 for being christian, its all profit man

Indeed. The only thing that getting over X number of Jedi's achieved was that the National Statistics Office just had Jedi aas a seperate category in their adding-up as opposed to just lumping it with the "Others".

Individual records are classified for 99 (or 100) years. So you wouldn't be able to find out that Mrs Jones at Number 23 is a Catholic until 2100.
But obviously the general results are released since it'd be useless otherwise.
