[Discuss] Alliance Attacks

On the alliance attacks screen can we have an optio simply to add a whole galaxy as a target, as putting in 20 individual coords is really tedious. This would be more helpful to small and medium alliances that don't have attack bots.

Re: Alliance Attacks

It needs more than that it needs a complet overhaul as its woefully inadequate.

- Why can you only arrange one attack at a time
- Why does it only store 1 scan for each target (comparision of scans from launch to land would be useful)
- Why does it allow Protected targets to be added
- Why doe sit not remove (and possible warn those who claimed it) targets who have moved galaxy or been deleted
- Why cant it handle multiple landing times
- Why can attacks not be posted but co-ords hidden till you choose (rather than having to leave planets unadded and not be able to do the scans UNTIL you want to announce it)

I could go on and on with problems with it

Its not quite as crippled as the whole "arbiter system" that leaves planets off thus forcing alliances to produce their own but its not far off and it might very well be better off not even being there because atleast then alliances would be forced to use their own systems which cant be as inadequate as this is

Re: Alliance Attacks

We are aware this needs an overhaul, but in a way it seems a bit pointless to in essence recode all the 3rd party tools the community has produced.

however those tools are most times not for public use (except for some common attack bots), for site tools you rely on your own techies or the ingame tools that are there. As most times alliances that do have the tools have them integrated in their arbiter and other tools they have, which makes them unsuited for public use unless the alliance doesn't mind to share their entire tool structure.

So for small alliances without the tech support that the bigger allies have, the ingame tools are 'vital'.
