Well generally spaking, I close the poll on Sundays, or Mondays, or sometimes on Tuesdays. I then usually post the new poll on Tuesdays, or Wednsdays, and sometimes when I have problems geting online I post it on Thursdays but that's not often.

I imagine the reason is that it wasn't done in the standard format. The PotW thing is enough work by itself without having to look for links for all the nominated posts, and if Koen is allowed then why shouldn't others?
It's fairly obvious.
