Re: Marines

Prison Complex A, Between Level (above)

Kama
(I'll assume you wanted the muzzle-light for the shotgun as its modification)

The thermal imaging function of your visor gives a crisp, clear view of everything, but nonetheless the muzzle-mounted flashlight on your assault shotgun illuminates what lies further up ahead in more sharp relief, giving you some comfort. Up ahead, you see a corner in the vent. You crouch-shuffle your way toward it, and turn round it. You immediately spot the rattler in question, it's one of the smaller Xeno lizards native to the planet. Nothing to worry about since this species is vegetarian and only about the size of a small cat. However, it would appear your trip up into the air vents was in vain, for the Xeno is already dead, and you can see what killed it. Two odd-looking purple creatures, covered in some kind of chitinous exoskeleton, are hunched over the corpse of the lizard, apparently feeding. One has its back to you, the other you can see in full detail. It's powerful-looking jaws are working with great speed, tearing flesh from the lizard's corpse and shovelling it into the creature's waiting mouth. Both of the creatures have four legs, the back two look strong and the front two look deadly, with over half their length being razor sharp claws, ending in an equally sharp-looking point. As you are regarding these strange creatures, the one facing you suddenly jolts upwards. For a second, your gaze meets its own cold, black eyes. Then it gives a loud screech and its companion looks up as well, before jumping backwards over the corpse of the lizard, raised on its hind legs, screeching in a low, menacing way. The first creature gives another loud screech and leaps at your face with incredible speed, claws outstretched...

Prison Complex A, Exit Bulkhead

Fluffie/PK/Crazy/Zappa/Phang
At Fluffie's bidding, Phang produces a high explosive grenade from one of his pouches, pulls the pin and rolls it across the floor so that it comes to rest just behind the line of Bio Marines. They don't even hear the sound of the grenade bouncing across the steel plates covering the ground over the chattering of their own weapons. 5...4...3...2...1... A fiery orange explosion rips through the line, completely obliterating the sergeant and one of the others and throwing the rest, including the heavy marines, to the floor. At precisely this moment, a lamp strip set into the cieling panels suddenly collapses downwards, stopped from crashing into the floor only by the thick wires running to each end of the lamp itself, and from this new entry point drop around ten of the purple creatures, right on top of the Bio Marines. In the resulting bloody melee, you can just hear one of the heavy marines shouting into his radio over the roar of the gunfire and the screeching of the creatures.

"Alert, alert, this is 4. Squad, we have been attacked by guard personnel, repeat, guard personnel are helping the prisoners in esca-" he is cut off as one of the creatures leaps onto the chest plate of his armour and plunges a razor sharp claw through a tiny gap in the suit, killing the man instantly. All but two of the Bio Marines are now dead, six of the creatures remain. One of the creatures leaps at one of two remaining Bio Marines, a corporal, only to be exploded in a shower of brightly-coloured blood and carapace by a well-placed pulse pistol round. A second creature gets past the corporal's aim and starts tearing at the steel plate with its claws, first breaking the armour and then stabbing deep into the man's chest. You hear a scream of pain, distorted by the soldier's gas mask radio, and see the man make one last, titanic effort, grabbing the creature two handed, standing, and smashing it repeatedly against a wall. Its body shatters, the soldier drops it to the ground and then collapses himself, dead. The last Bio Marine blows a third alien away with his assault shotgun, but the remaining two leap at him then, just as he runs out of ammunition. You see a spray of blood and hear the sound of his corpse hitting the floor. The remaining two aliens, purple exoskeletons smeared with red blood, turn around and stare at you intently, as though waiting for some kind of signal...

Re: Marines

Phang et all
The hail of accurate fire from Sergeant Phang's pulse rifle blows the two remaining aliens to smithereens. [For quickness] Sergeant Phang, realizing that more danger was probably going to arrive at any second, then quickly released the four prisoners from their handcuffs.

Forage for equipment, then decide what you want to do next.

Re: Marines

As soon as he had been freed from the restraints, Richard made his way over to the dead bodies of the bio marines. Richard quickly looked for one his size, and started changing from his dirty, smelly prison grab into the gray urban warfare uniform of the bio marines. He then donned some slightly batter armour, and an assault shotgun. Richard then salvaged as much ammo from the dead gaurds as he could carry, and loaded up the shotgun, slipped some grenades into a satchel at his side and picked up a nice combat knife, which he stored in its sheath on his chest. Looking around some more, Richard picked up a blood splattered gas mask, and slipped it on, adjusting the straps to fit. Finally, to finish off, Richard donned a helmet and secured it. He looked at the other ex-prisoners and the gaurd.

"Well... shall we have some fun or leave this hell hole?"

Re: Marines

Fluffie does exactly the same as Richard does, only taking a scoped rifle instead of a shotgun. With hopefully sufficient grenades and clips, he looks very Bio Divisionly, only a bit blown up. Looking around, Fluffie spots a pistol, which he quickly takes too, along with a knife.

It didn't hurt to be prepared... And the weight he should be able to handle, he hadn't been exactling sitting still in his cell. He just wondered if he'd be able to run like before right away, he had been in that small, cramped room for a while now.

"Kill the ****ers. Both kinds."

Fluffie most obviously referred to both the Bio Division and the aliens.

*Glad to be finally able to utilise some weaponry, PK grabs the other shotty, and all the pistols that the others don't want. He clipped a bunch of nades to the newly aquired combat belt of his armour, then begins secreting all 6 (ish) pistols about his person, checking that each is loaded first. He too puts on a bio division mask and checks that the systems are working properly.*

"Radio check marines, is this kit working properly still? As soon as you're all tooled up, lets get the hell out of here."

Re: Marines

Prison Complex A, Between Level (beneath)

Hewitt
You descend the ladder, mulling over your misfortune at being banished to this place form your otherwise promising career. No action, the blackouts, the Bio Marines, the Bio Division scientists...the list was endless. But, at least you had the oppurtunity to go Xeno hunting now, though that still wasn't the most recreational of activities you could think of. After a few moments of climbing down the ladder, you are on the between level. It soon becomes evident that quite some discomfort is going to be involved, as you seen realise that you'll have to crawl through the maze of maintenance shafts and air vents to reach the security hub. However, it shouldn't be too hard to find. To the left of the room connecting the Guards' Barracks and Living Area to the Primary Armoury and Security Checkpoint is the Surveillance Room. Sure enough, a few metres further down, a thick bundle of wiring leads out from a hole in the wall of the shaft and starts to run along the bottom left corner. Presumably, these are the various optic relay wires running from the surveillance hub to the surveillance room. You decide to follow this wire. It's pretty damned dark in the maintenance shaft you're now crawling down, with the lights having gone out above as well, and pretty quickly you can't see a thing. [For quickness] You turn on your thermal imaging visor function, and the shaft is seemingly illuminated by pale green light, allowing you to see every single detail. You continue to follow the wire. It continues running straight on. Finally, after crawling for God knows how long, you come to a sudden drop in the shaft which [for quickness] you drop down. You can now crouch comfortably. You're in a large (compartively) area of crouch-height space, roughly four metres by four metres in dimension. The bundles of wires runs down the drop, across the floor and to a large, whirring computer mainframe in the middle of the floor. Other, similar wire bundles run from the mainframe off into other directions. The computer mainframe is obviously on and seemingly working...but someone appears to have cut the wires leading from the mainframe to the other surveillance rooms. All of the wire bundles have been severed rather clumsily. Abruptly you get the feeling you're being watched. You spin around. In the corner of the 'room', watching you carefully, is a very odd looking creature. You can't remember seeing or being told about this creature in the Native Fauna Breifing you recieved on arrival on the planet. It's purple, about the size of a man's hand, and looks nasty. It sees you looking at it, gives a loud, piercing shriek and attacks, pouncing toward you with surprising speed, razor-sharp claws outstretched...

Prison Complex A, Guards' Living Area

Muha
'Living area' is a term used loosely. The Guards' Living Area has pristine white-painted steel for the floor and the same for the walls, with the cieling being the kind of square tiles that wouldn't be ammiss in an office block. It serves as a living area and rest area for the guards, with folding tables up against the walls and a couple of benches for seating, both for eating and watching the lone television. It's now deserted, with all of the night shift guards asleep and all of the day shift guards moving out to the Security Checkpoint and other areas. Having decided to go against the Corporal's orders to accompany Sergeant Hewitt, you don't have anything to do. Your normal post is at the Guards' Checkpoint covering the Exit to the rest of the base. It's a good post because you rarely have to speak to any of the other guards. The door to the long, bare corridor leading to the Exit and your post is on the left wall of the room, to the right of the door to the Surveillance Room. Maybe if you go there you'll be able to stay out of the Corporal's sight untill the surveillance system is working again. It's pitch black with the lights being out and so [for quickness] you switch your helmet flashlight on.

Prison Complex A, Cell Line

Inspectre/Dave/Adam
Lieutenant Tremaine (who, I've just remembered, was promoted to First Lieutenant) makes his voice heard above the confused muttering filling the Cell Line, and his proposition of escape despite the prospect of death even if they do get out of the Prison Complex is met with a hearty roar of approval.

Inspectre
In front of you, something moves in the gloom. Through the near-darkness, you can make out another Marine. You manage to recognise it as Corporal McAllistair, your former Squad 2IC from the 135th Regiment, from his characteristic black eyepatch. He pauses, and you get the impression that he's squinting about in the darkness.

"You there, Lieutenant Tremaine, sir?" He asks, keeping his voice low, though there appears to be little reason for it. McAllistair, you remember, had been through a hell of a lot of fighitng even before the Merchant of Verona episode, and so was naturally cautious. He evidently spots you, because you just about make out him standing up straight and saluting.

"Good to see you again sir," He says, still keeping his voice low. "Beg pardon sir, but how exactly are we going to get out now anyway? You got a plan?" However, the Corporal's question is already answered for him when the security door leading to the main corridor slides open, seemingly unbidden. The lights in this corridor are functioning, but only very weakly, and are flickering on and off. You can dimly remember passing a door labelled 'Secondary Armoury' when going through that corridor on the way into the cell months ago.

Dave
Second Technical Lieutenant doesn't exist. Your rank is Second Lieutenant, and you've been through Technical Op training.

You can barely see a thing stepping out of the cell, but nonetheless you put your (albeit rather obvious) suggestion forward toward 1st Lieutenant Tremaine. The other prisoners seem to be happy to follow the orders of the two of you (you and Tremaine being the only officers left in this Cell Complex), and are stepping out of the cells, shambling blindly down the corridor toward the sources of authority at its centre. You hear another hum of a door opening, and see that the security door to the main corridor is now open. Who opened it you have no idea; there are no guards in sight, and none of the prisoners would be able to.

Adam
You hear similar shouts of appreciation from the other enlisted men in the cells, but no more orders from the officers are forthcoming. In the absense of such orders, from the sound of bootsteps, you gather that the other NCOs and privates are making their way down the Cell Line toward the centre, where the lieutenant's shouting came from.

????

Bakan
You patch the circuity up easily using your multitool. Although there are no lights in the shaft, it is to be assumed that the lights in the storage room are now on. You use your different scanners to look for anything out of the ordinary, and spot a few heat signitures, but they are all from either electrical components, water pipelines, or humans, each visible by the distinctive shape of the heat pattern it gives off.

Suddenly, from up ahead, you hear the sound of something moving across the metal floor of the air vent. Your keen audio senses identify four moving things, and from the speed of their footsteps, the movers are not human. The mysterious creatures up ahead, which you still cannot see, merit further investigation.

There are two pulse pistols, so you can have one.

Re: Marines

Phang does his own bit of looting; he picks up an assault shotgun and wrenches the minigun arm off one of the armoured suits. He straps the former to his belt and the latter to his back. He yells over to King.

"Hey, you! A pistol if you please!"

tying his own rifle to his belt, he produces a pistol of his own. As comfortable as the rifle was, being able to shoot in two directions was far better in the tight corridors and vents of the prison building. Speaking of which...

"Gentlemen, an idea. We use the vents to escape. Less marines, probably no more aliens until we're outside. And once we ARE outside, we come back in at our own pace and rescue the others. If we're gonna be in firefights, I want the escape route cleared first."

Re: Marines

Fluffie, holding one rifle in his hand, smiles. It felt lighter than before, or maybe the muscles in his arms had just grown in size and strenght. Grinning, he picks up another one, looking around to the others.

"Anyone want to trade some 'nades for ammo? It's not like I've got a free throwing arm now..."

He looks and waits for an answer, the two rifles each slung over a shoulder, each held by one hand, each trigger near a finger. He was reminded of the merchant... No, no. He banned those thoughts of the hordes of aliens and focussed on the present, on his just regained freedom. Freedom that wouldn't come cheap to the next with the intention of claiming it.

Then, Phang speaks.

Fluffie stares at him, lets one of his rifles drop (held up due to being slung over my shoulder by a strap-thing, eh?), and presses the side of the barrel firmly against Phang's chest as he turns about (which he does, just for my post's sake).

"No."

He nods at the dead aliens.

"See them? They and their friends love vents."

Fluffie softly shakes his head.

"Bad. Idea."

Re: Marines

(Muzzle light, ye ta)

*Shuffling around the turn in the vent and sighting the mess, Kama is frozen on the spot, tensed on his knees at this ackward angle he feels his throat go dry. He was prepared for some kind of half invisible lizard killing machine, but there had been no briefing on these creatures. Creatures of terror and presumably, killing, killing on a large scale than the small xeno lizards.

*As the second of the pair, turned and faced him, he swallowed hard, and though over his options. He didn't very like the one that involved getting attacked, so he was readily forming a plan of action, mostly involving as swift retreat and lots of shooting. The shrill calling of the creatures raise hairs all over him.

*It leaps for him, and in one glorified moment of "aawh crap" he fires out a round as fast as he can at either of them and pushes off on his knees, quickly ducking back around the corner in the vent. Swift retreat a go go. blast blast blast.

ok... let's see, what's left here...

2 pulse miniguns, -1 (phang)
2 cyb wired suit ,
3 pulse rifles (2 for fluffie, 1 for PK)
2 shotguns, from which 3 are taken (??????)
pistols: unknown
grenades: unknown

Duncan quickly dons the cyberneticly wired suit thingy with a pulse minigun, picks up 5 grenades, and if able to carry it, an aditional pulse rifle, with as much ammo as possible, then waits for his superior officers to make a choise

Fast Heinz says: Standard armour (slightly battered), a few grenades, six pulse rifles, two assault shotguns, helmet visors (pouched, or you can take a gas mask), and a couple of knives are there for the taking.

Fast Heinz says: Two of the pulse rifles have scopes.

Fast Heinz says: Oh, and there's two pulse pistols as well.

Re: Marines

Fluffie looks around, even after Duncan looted the floor there are rifles left. Having a flashback of the Xenos, he quickly moves the scoped rifle from hanging from his shoulder to his back, while grabbing a third rifle. Dropping all his grenades now, he replaces them with as much clips as he can find for his rifles.

Three rifles. Perhaps overkill, but having a constant rain of pulsefire wouldn't hurt.

AND THEN SUDDENLY ONE THE RIFLES RAN AWAY!!!

(Fluffie:
Armour (+ Visor with Gas Mask stuff), 1 Pulse Rifle, 1 scoped Pulse Rifle, 1 Pulse Pistol, 1 Knife. Lots, lots and lots of clips.)

Edit:
Dachi's being mean, so I had to scrap one of the rifles.

Re: Marines

Zappa
Phang doesn't get a shotgun because he wasn't quick enough, there are only two.

The cybernetically wired suits are unsalvageable. The miniguns are too heavy to lift without the suits, thus equipment is limitted to the stuff I told Fluffie.

Flufife/Warren looks at the others. Everyone, just like him, seemed to be fully loaded with equipment. Quickly picking up a grenade or two which he somehow manages to stuff along with the maddening amount of clips, he nods. Grenades, either to attack people or take as many as possible down with him if needed. He wasn't going to die at those aliens' hands, claws or teeth. Nor at those of the Bio Division.

"Lets move guys. Either inside or outside, but we, need, to, move."

Re: Marines

Floor U-20, Outside Prison Complex B

Crazy/PK/Fluffie/Zappa/Phang
With the Bio Marines and the aliens dead, for now, the ex-prisoners decide to suit up.

Sergeant Crazy
Steals an urban warfare camouflaged uniform, some slightly battered standard armour, a gas mask, a visor (pouched), an assault shotgun and ammunition, three high explosive grenades, a pulse pistol and a combat knife.

Sergeant Warren
Liberates some Bio Marine corpses of a scoped pulse rifle, a second unscoped pulse rifle, five high explosive grenades, a uniform, some combar armour, a gas mask, a visor (pouched), a pistol and a knife.

Lieutenant King
Grabs an assault shotgun, a uniform, a set of standard armour, a single pulse pistol (that would make three, but as I mucked up and said you could have one...), three high exokisuve grenades and a gas mask. You could also take a second medium weapon seeing as you're a combat specialist...

Corporal McGunney
Scrounges a scoped pulse rifle, a set of standard armour, a uniform, a visor (installed on the helmet), five high explosive grenades and a knife.

Sergeant Phang
Gets nothing as all the stuff he wanted is gone . This is no matter for reasons I already outlined to you.

Now having loaded up, you debate which way to go. Behind you is Prison Complex B and the other guards and prisoners. The corridor you now stand in leads off to the right and the left. You did not see which way the Bio Marines came from. It is still dark. Suddenly, you begin to hear a lot of noise, coming from both left and right. Sounds like a lot of boots hitting the steel floor plates. Your helmet radios hiss and crackle, then you hear a voice coming in over them.

"4. Squad, come in, you guys still alive?" Evidently, whoever it was on the other end had not heard Lieutenant King's com check. "We've got a Company moving onto your position now, and a second Company moving in on Prison Complex A. That guard thing gave the Boss just the excuse he needed to wipe out the other guards and prisoners; we're going to clear out both blocks. If you're still alive, try and hold 'em off untill we get there. The other troops are all handling the containment problem. I repeat, hold your position untill reinforcements arrive, out."

Prison Complex B, Between Level (above)

Kama
You snap off two shots with your assault shotgun. In the close, confined range of the air vent, both of the creatures are blown to pieces, with the one that was leaping at you exploding in a shower of lurid blood and chitinous exoskeleton. With both the creatures dead and your job done, you immediately retreat back round the vent corner. Hear, unfortunatly, you figure out what was behind you. Dozens of the purple creatures are streaming along the floor of the vent towards you. Luckily they're still quite far off, but they're coming in fast. Periodically one of them lets out another piercing shriek, which reverberates around the interior of the vent...

Re: Marines

Making sure the radio was off, but external mic thing was on, Richard turned to the other prisoners and the guard.

"I suggest we get moving back to the prison complex. And quickly. We need to warn the other gaurds and the prisoners. Plus, it would be a good place to start killing more Bio Marines."

Without waiting, Richard started making his way back towards the Prison complex, but not before he bent down and tore his old unit insignia off of his old dirty uniform which was lying in a heap next to a dead marine, and pocketed it.

"Rich, got your back. Got to move guys, no time to talk."

Hurriedly saying the above as he already is running after Crazy, one rifle hanging on his back, the scoped one firmly in his hands.

Ah.

It felt good to run. He felt the heavier than before load, but he could cope. He felt his legs quickly finding a good and fast pace, tracking back to the Prison Complex they came from. Warren just hoped the other Guards wouldn't be bitches.... Because Fluffie wasn't going to have hard feelings about killing any Bio symphatizers...

Talking through the radio, to Phang. Hopefully without the Bio's hearing. If Phang's close enough, call it "yelling".

"[name for Phang], call your buddies and tell them what the **** is going on."

//

Zappa, we are B, so get running already

Phang sighed. Why was he doing this again?

"Yeah, sounds like a plan. OK guys, full tilt. Lieutenant King, come with me. We'll explain the situation to the guards and pirsoners. You three, get to the armoury..here's the keys...and bring everything you can. Set up some barricades as well. Once we've told everyone what's going on, we set up shop and arm everyone.

Fluffie catches the keys as Phang throws them and continues running with Crazy, Zappa probably right on their tail. Hoping that Crazy's mind was still functioning enough to remember where the Armoury was, Warren follows him.

Phang and the Gang
Everything is protected by futuristic number pad locks rather than key locks. You'll need to memorise an eight figure code sequence and have the mobile number pad key to open the door. You only have one such key, Phang is carrying it. He can give it to the others and tell them the codes, but in doing so he'll render himself unable to open any locked doors.

I only saw you pick up the scoped one. nm, you can pick up a second. No, grenades alone are not enough to open the heavy security doors, you'd need heavier explosives.

before running after the others, Duncan thought a little tought... grenades still left on the corpses would arm the pursuers if they'd pick em up and take em along... the'd be better off slowing them down...

he approached the corpses asap, pulled off some more grenades, and then, full force, lobbed them around the corner, in the direction of the onspeeding footsteps. not waiting for the blow, or possible outcries of pain and agony, he started running after the others

Re: Marines

Prison Complex A, Cell Block

Inspectre
I'm temporarily siezing control of your character so I can get everyone out of the cell block.

Dave
1st Lieutenant Tremaine, having assumed command, now gives the obvious order.

"Everyone move out! Find the armoury and if it's open load out. Try to avoid encounters with guards untill you're armed, go!" A hearty cheer rings out through the cell line as the men, finally free after months of imprisonment, surge through the security door. You [for quickness] follow them. The corridor is short and dimly lit by emergency lighting. It is just ten metres long. At the opposite end, you know, is a simple non-security door leading into the prisoner cantine. Two doors lead off to the left and right mid way down the corridor. One is a security door, one is not. The non-security door leads off to the right, to the prisoner physical training room. The security door leads off to the left. You don't know what it leads to and have never been through it, but you have seen guards walking out of it before, so presumably it leads to the guards' area. Precisely at this moment, the security door hisses open, again without anyone apparently having opened it. [For quickness] You lead the way down this new corridor, which is pitch black. You can dimly make out two more doors, again leading left and right, ten metres down the new corridor. You can see dim red emergency lighting coming from one of the doorways, which is open. Leaning inside, you can see a lot of weaponry and equipment. A plaque next to the door reads 'Secondary Armoury'. There is noone inside.

Prison Complex A, Exit

Muha
You notice as soon as you walk through the Guards' Exit door to your security checkpoint, a comfortable chair in front of a desk, enclosed from the rest of the room by a Duracrete wall, complete with Transparasteel window. Another heavy sercurity door will allow you through the wall to the rest of the exit room. The heavy bulkhead occupying the entire front wall of the room, leading into the rest of the base, is raised at present. It often is. You sit down, ready for another pleasant, if boring, day of solitude. In your angered state, it takes you a few moments to notice comething odd. There are scorchmarks on the wall to your right (you came from this direction). [For quickness] You quickly enter the code for the door into your mobile number key and move out into the room. The other security door, the one leading through into the main corridor, which leads to the security checkpoint separating the guards' living area from the cell line, has been blown open. It looks like this was done with a lot of explosives. Moving closer to the door, you can hear faint gunfire coming from further in...

Re: Marines

????

Bakan
You move quickly through the air vents, losing no mobility through walking on all fours as humans do. Within a few minutes, you sense that you are close to the source of the audio signals, though you still pick up nothing on infra red sensors. You come to a sudden drop in the air vent, complete with maintenance ladder. It seems to go a long way down. The audio signals are definitely coming from below. You [for quickness] scurry down the sides of the ladder shaft, making very little noise, before dropping down onto the floor below. You take a moment to regain the source of the signals again. It still appears to be coming from below. You see a metal grill separating the maintenance shaft that you are now in from an air vent below. You quickly cut through this with your blowtorch before removing the grill and carefully putting it on the floor of the shaft, before dropping down into the grate. You now pick up a new audio signal, some kind of high pitched shrieking noise, apparently coming from the same direction as the rattling noise. Your AI determines that you are most likely dealing with some kind of non-Earth native faunae, with a chitinous exoskeleton, as this call does not match those of any Earth creature on your files. You turn around and procede around a corner, down another length of vent, and around another corner. Then, finally, you spot your prey. A large number of purple creatures, that appear to be running toward a lone Marine (Kama). You cannot make out unit insignia from this distance. None of the creatures have noticed you yet. There are exactly twenty eight of the creatures, moving close together. They seem to have very sharp claws and powerful limbs, indicating some kind of combat ability.

Unknown Bio-Forms...... 28 confirmed

Unknown Human....... 1 confirmed

Protocol Initiated - Protect Non-ID'ed Human Life

*Still on all hours, Bakan loads up his bolt launchers, preparing them for firing. Inside, targetting subsystems quickly start getting targetting locks on the critters.Running forward, Bakan moves with startling speed. Sprining up, Bakan extends its right arm, extending the grenade launcher. Targetting the center of the mass, Bakan launches the grenade. It sails through the air, and lands perfectly in the middle of the creatures. Upon contact, it explodes, sending the creatures, along with bits and pieces of them flying around.*

Threat Analysis: 13 creatures left

Warning: Incoming Hostiles - 6 creatures

*Some of the creatures were thrown towards Bakan, turning to face him. Retracting his grenade launcher, Bakan primes his boltlaunchers. Targetting, Bakan fires both of them at once, driving the bolts deep into the creatures. Within a second, his boldlaunchers have automatically reloaded. Targetting two more creatures, Bakan fires again. By this time the other two are so close that Bakan can't fire at them. Leaping up, Bakan quickly comes crashing down, Catching the two creatures with his "hands", driving them into the ground. Making odd squishy sounds, and apparently leaking fluids, and compacted to 1/20th of their original height, Bakan concludes that they are dead. Fliping over on his hands, Bakan pushes himself off to land on two more creatures with his feet.*

Threat Analysis: 5 Creatures Left

"Oh shit!"

*Hewitt jumps back as the creature lunges at him, whipping the pulse rifle up as fast as he can. Just as the creature and the muzzle of his weapon meet eye-to-eye Hewitt's finger finally reacts and depresses the trigger.......*

Re: Marines

*Not fond of being spewn with alien gung, Kama is slow to react after ducking around the corner, drawing the sleeve of his free arm across his lower face, the stuff not covered by his visor, he spits air clearing his mouth. Alerted again by the rapid rattling noises and shrieking sounds his eyes snap back up on the vent ahead of him.

"FUDGE ICECREAM ON A STICK !!!"

His grapples for his shotgun again, hunches his knees and pushing himself backwards as he brings it up to bear on the mob of creaters, he scrambles away discharing several slugs along the way, until his back *thunk*s against the vent corner, adreniline is steps up a gear and his vision darts between the aliens and where next he can get the hell away from them via. His mind racing, trying to mentally place where he was in relation to the corridoors below, this air vent had to have vents along it somewhere, heh.

"Alright Sergant, let's go. We're going to need the extra troops. Warren, get as many shotguns as possible, they'll be most effective in this close quarters fighting."

*PK moves back the way they came, towards the cells, shotgun ready and glancing about to see if any beasties had got in.*

Sorry, been away a couple of days. Didn't think the thread would accumulate 2 more pages in that time
I'm in Block A with Tremaine etc... so I'll just continue on from there.

Tommy followed the men, who were all running towards this room. They all seemed to be very loud and excited about escaping. Tommy was more concerned about why all the doors opened at once. Surely the guards didn't do that...

He wandered after the soldiers and noticed the "Secondary Armoury". Excellent. He didn't use large weapons anyway, being a medic. But having a gun in his hand would make him feel a lot safer in this creepy place. That Tremaine guy had assumed command, which was fine by Tommy. He waited to see what the others were doing, and wondered if there were enough guns to go round.

Re: Marines

*Bradley runs into the armoury and immediatly heads for the armour. In the dim emergancy lighing, Bradley spots some normal armour and a helmit with visor and puts them on, Bradley then grabs two pulse pistols and holsters and straps one onto each leg with plenty of ammo for both. Next, Bradley grabs a scoped pulse rifle and slings it over his shoulder. He then grabs as much ammo for the rifle as he could carry. On his way out the door, Bradley spots a tech ops "magic bag" and grabs it quickly before heading back out into the corridor, now visable thanks to the nightvision on his helmit.*

"Ok guys, lets try and find the other prisoners"

Re: Marines

Jake Tremain grins as he breaks off down one of the side corridors, and is with the group that finds the Secondary Armory. He immediately snatches one of the pulse rifles up and cradles it for a few moments, savouring the feel of the gun's cool metal. It had been several months since he'd been able to carry one of these around.

His few moments of reminensence over, Jake turned back to business. Pointing at one of the random privates, although he wasn't entirely sure the shadowy figure was a private in the darkness, or that the man could see Jake pointing at him, "You, private! Go back and round everyone else up, and tell them that we've found the armory. Everybody's getting a gun, but since it doesn't look like there's enough armor to go around, officers and sergenants will get the armor first, then the grunts. Those not armored will stick to the back of our formation. MOVE OUT!"

Although it was a bit hard to see in the darkness, Jake was familiar enough with infantry suits to get into one of the reinforced armor suits. Turning the nightvision function on after cinching down the helmet, Jake then turned to the duty of arming himself. He attached two of the small supply of grenades to his suit's utility belt, and slung one of the assault shotguns over his shoulder. Scouping up several cases of ammo for the shotgun, Jake also picked up one of the pulse pistols as well. After arranging all of these weapons to his person, Jake then turned back to the rest of the prisoners, that were also busy arming and armoring themselves.

"ALRIGHT EVERYONE, LISTEN UP!! UNLESS SOMEBODY HAS A MAP OF THE PLACE ETCHED INTO THEIR HEAD, WE'RE GOING TO HAVE TO FIND OUR OWN WAY OUT OF HERE, WHICH PROBABLY MEANS GOING THROUGH, OR CLOSE TO THE GUARD BARRACKS. I DON'T WANT ANY SURPRISES, SO THOSE OF US WITH ARMOR WILL LEAD OUT, AND A COUPLE WILL BRING UP THE REAR. I DON'T LIKE SURPRISES, SO IF YOU SEE ANY WILD ANIMALS AROUND THAT LOOK DANGEROUS: KILL 'EM. IF YOU SEE ANY ARMED GUARDS OR BASE PERSONAL AROUND, KILL 'EM. AND IF YOU SEE ANY ****ING BIO MARINES, DON'T KILL THEM, BECAUSE THAT'S MY JOB! NOW LET'S MOVE OUT!"
