Yeah, but without the other 70% - 75% of the vote, it's meaningless. Same with Ohio. Geographically, it looks like the Bush-leaning precincts are the ones that have mostly declared so far in Florida.

But a few notes, Kerry has romped away with pensylvania by the looks of it.
Florida hasn't got the results from miami in which pretty much decides which way the state get's called so while bush has 55% it really depends on how miami goes.
the 1 vote Kerry lost since my last post was in Maine which has caused some intrigue.
Other news is that the Republicans have definately held the senate however.... picked up 4 seats in oklahoma or some shit.

Just in case you didn't watch it:
CNN was comparing today's precincts votes in Florida to those 4 years ago, and many precincts that voted for Al Gore are currently in favour of Bush.

California is one of, if not the most strongly Democratic state in Presidential elections. 
You may as well suggest that Kerry has a chance of winning Texas.

Gore won 267 electoral votes in 2000, but one of the DC electors abstained to protest DC's lack of statehood; so he only got 266 electoral votes.
