So i was out ...
... buying drinks* for consuption before during and after the match tonight.
Anyways i got to thinking.
"Is it just offies in Glasgow which have bullet proof glass seperating the buyer from the booze or does this happen in the rest of the country?"
I just wanna know if we're being victimised "up here" or not.
And by "victimised" i mean regarded as thieving gypo ****s (which alot of the folk here probably are).

Re: So i was out ...
London in general, doesnt.
However, some of the rougher area's of essex do. Infact, there is a chinese I know of, that has bullet proof glass seperating the guys serving from the scum that come in to buy food.

Re: So i was out ...
Newcastle off licences are essentially newsagents for booze.
No glass, no seperating partitions.
A simple 'ding dong' when you enter triggered by some magical device hidden away producing sound which appears to come from all directions, much like the low level alarm spell Wizards and Sorcerers get when starting out....

Re: So i was out ...
They have it in some in South London. It generally only applies to ones which have been robbed a few times (sometimes ones across the road from estates or whatever).

I'd expect they have it in certain area's of Newcastle too, although I'm not likely to go there as those places are plagued with the dregs of human society.

Re: So i was out ...
Seen nothing of this in Bath or Reading.
I wouldn't be suprised if they have it in certain areas of Reading though. We now have security on some bus routes at night after some kid threw acid into the driver's eyes leaving him blind in one of them.

i'm sure some areas of Portsmouth are decnt enough, i was just thinking mainly of Leigh Park area etc. Simily, you have to watch out for the Millbrook Massiv' down Southampton. I'm just glad i live way out in the sticks away from these scum

Nothing like that down here in devon. Hell where I live (Seaton) we don't even have bouncers in our nightclub (yes just the one nightclub) except for friday and saturday.
Afaik nothing like that in Exeter either.

It was front page news when THREE (yes THREE) teenagers walked home from the nightclub late at night and smashed two wing mirrors off of two separate cars. They are disciples of Lucifer clearly.

My local offie in Nottingham has one.
Although it also has a door through it (not lockable), so it's not exactly the greatest deterrant.
