Standard Operation Procedure

Whenever there is a more then 2 hour gap between ticks, like today, recall all fleets in the universe (1), do not give out free resources(2) and start then quickly run the ticks that have been missed to be catched up again.(3)

What's so difficult about that ?

(3) is under discussion.

I'm confused....

Missing ticks were part of the good ol' days in round 3. Frankly, I don't see a problem. A little 'uncertainty' can make the game a bit more....excitingish. Anyways, just my 2 cents.

Don't you know you put the NUMBER for the point before the point not after the point. This emphasizes that you are listing your points. Also points follow after a colon not a comma.

Besides the nuances, sure.

1 yes, 2 yes. Both rather obvious.

3 no. 5 min ticks to catch up? What if a fleet was launched during that time? less opportunity for defence.

There is no need to 'catch up' ticks. Ticks havent been 'lost' in the first place. Planetarion does not go on until a defined date. If it did, and it went down, then ticks would have been lost. But as round ends are always decided when creators feel like it, this round probably until r10 is ready, then they can just let it run an extra day or so....

Don't recall all fleets. The game is tick based, not houry based. If a tick takes 12 hours then so be it. As long as somewhere between two ticks you have time to login the ticks can continue as they are.

Other problem is with DoSsing servers or other ways to deny access to the game for on or more ticks. Than the players cannot access the game and the game should be frozen untill they can.

Only real measure to take that sems fair is that after an extended period of niot ticking it seems fair to give out a warning when ticks resume at least an hour ahead of the next tick start. Info is good, game changes is not.
