Missionrisk League
Putting this here as it'd die in GD and doesn't fit in anywhere else :P

I don't know how many of you remember or took part in the original Missionrisk League (think I did it 2 years ago and it eventually died due mainly to the cant-play-each-player-more-than-twice-rule which we won't have this time) but I'm thinking of redoing it.

For those of you who don't know, Missionrisk is a free downloadable version of the board game Risk, which you can play online. The Missionrisk League is just a form of organisation for it so we can put players in a ranked order.

As I've got quite a bit of spare time on my hands at the moment I thought I'd try to do it again, and this time have a proper finish.

The rules will essentially be the same (Number of players per game 4-6, 3 points for 1st place, 2 for 2nd, 1 for 3rd) but I'll put them all on a basic website when I get round to it.

For now I'd like people who are interested to:

1. Download the most recent Missionrisk version (3.1.1) from here
2. Have a play around so you know what you're doing
3. Idle in #risk
4. E-mail [email protected] with your P-nick, and Normal nick (put Missionrisk in the topic so I don't delete it by accident)

Will stick updates in here when they come.


Update 1

You guys have until Friday 12th May to get your names into me, then we'll start it (that's a day I have chemo though, so if it's anything like last time I won't be on the net much due to feeling hideously hungover from it) over the weekend.

It'll be a "Play when you can, but a minimum of 4 games per week" setup.

I've started the site, should be finished by tomorrow if I can be arsed.

SIGN UP AND IDLE IN #RISK!

Look kids, I know you're all lazy bums, but all you have to do is PM me and tell me you want to play. Then idle in another channel.

At the moment we have about 11 people - I'm sure we can get 20.

This thing won't take up much of your time, and it'll be fun. There's so many people that I normally play risk with, who haven't come in. The more people the better. Signups will stop tomorrow so we can get it started.
