Mothers Day
Anyone forget?
I didn't forget, but I haven't done anything, but that's because I'm in the US and have until May to sort it out.
\o/
So, anyone just realised and need a card/flowers/chocolates, and need them quickly?

I don't really speak to my mother so didn't have to do anything.

Re: Mothers Day
I had to pick my parents up from Gatwick this morning at 12:40am. I only remembered on the way. So I had to buy one from a service station. It cost me £3 and is officially the worst card I have ever seen. But it made my mum happy - mission accomplished!

Re: Mothers Day
I had a card in the draw from Friday, but I had forgotten to write in it until my Dad reminded me at around midday. It surprises me that so many people consider Valentine's Day a sham, but are happy to celebrate Mother's Day.

Re: Mothers Day
I got my mother a book and a card, nearly forgot though as I was only reminded Friday.. Was really shocked though when buying the card to see some of the stuff there, there were all cards like "For my loving daughter on mother's day" and such.

Re: Mothers Day
my mom was dropping hints about some Matt Monro (who?) cd so I downloaded a copy (and threw in a bottle of cheap wine someone gave me last week)
it's actually her birthday today too, which I suppose is bad luck

Mothering Sunday (what today actually is) is supposed to be the day on which people go to their "mother church" (i.e. their diocese's cathedral).

Re: Mothers Day
i always thought it was the day workers (miners etc) that worked days and weeks in a row were guaranteed to be able to return home for a short while to see their family (mothers)

Does anyone spend as much on Mothers day than on Valentines day?
Also - A mother can't split up with you or withhold sex.
I texted my mum and rang her about an hour ago. She was happy enough with that.

Re: Mothers Day
I sent my Mum a card so she could take it with her to Barbados.
She can **** of if she thinks I'm paying to ring there.

Re: Mothers Day
I sent a card to my mum, and she is visiting me next weekend so I will get her something then. Usually she gets a bunch of flowers delivered.
At church today they had arose and a chocolate for all the mothers. Then they had loads left over, so it turned into roses for all the women, and chocolates for anyone who wanted one.
