EMPIRE
Has anyone managed to catch this excellent series on channel 4? (In the UK) I intended to watch it but only managed to watch the end of yesterdays.
History is most definately not my area of expertise, but I found it to be incredibly interesting. Especially as I was one of the people he talked about yesterday with a view of the civil war, boston tea party etc that had the UK playing the part of 'evil' during this whole time.
I found the whole thing to be enlightening.

Although I love history, I must confess that programme made me snore.

to meh at least, that program reeks of british pride and patriotism. i wondered why, the first night that showed, there was also a program on how well they performed during WW2 (something about their DUK(sp?) transports). now, maybe im just a conspiracy theorist... or is blair gearing the country up for a war? and thus attempting to fill us with national pride to make us accept his decision more easily...
