GD Metro Fantasy Football 2006/7
Right, the Metro league is now launched. It's got the same great interface as the one we all used during the World Cup.
http://fantasyfootball.metro.co.uk/
It's running a little slow right now because so many people are signing up to it, so just hold tight - you've got until the 19th to register and still catch all the games.
Scoring:
Goal: 3 points
Assist: 2 points
GK/DF Appearance: 1 point (45 mins or more)
GK/DF Clean Sheet: 3 points (75 mins or more, inc. appearance)
GK/DF Goal Against: -1 point
If your GK/DF is sent off, they continue to lose points as their team does. If the team then keeps a clean sheet, they retain the same points as they had when they were sent off.
The League PIN is 1818. Get involved.

Re: GD Metro Fantasy Football 2006/7
I'll do it tomorrow. If I remember rightly you have to fill in your team completely before being allowed to "join" properly.

so midfielders and strikers don't get any points unless they score/assist?

Nope. The scoring's very strange, nothing like the World Cup edition. So you need to find midfielders who score goals

Re: GD Metro Fantasy Football 2006/7
Howard/Kenny
M Taylor/S Taylor/ Lee Y-P/Weir/Sommeil
Solano/Etherington/Cahill/O'Neil/Jenas
Shevchenko/Rooney/Harewood
Very tough start imo, no predictable games.
£0.5M burning a hole in my pocket.

I suspect it'll just be the -1 for goal against
I've signed up to the Premier League one too now.
Reina/Liverpool (Bywater/West Ham)
Aurelio/Liverpool, Dawson/Tottenham, Weir/Everton, Grey/Blackburn (McEveley/Blackburn)
Nolan/Bolton, Fabregas/Arsenal, Neville/Everton, Gamst Pederson/Blackburn (Noble/West Ham)
Henry/Arsenal, Keane/Tottenham (Horsfield/Sheff U)
Those in brackets are my subs

What's the link to the official Premier League one, this will distract me from writing my dissertation for a few hours tomorrow.
[Edit: Got it, good old Google]
